Pubs open

Never been there , haven't actually heard of it , intrigued .
It's a nice little pub. Or at least was the last time I was in there, before going to Rocky Horror at the theatre next door, about 35 years ago. Disappointed to see Google streetview just now that the Two Chairmen opposite is no more.

Hope the booking a table to go to pubs doesn’t catch on. I only decide if I fancy a pint a few minutes in advance and usually pop in on my own. They won’t want to give me a table when it could be used for a larger group
My local gets quite busy but I got lucky as I sat at a booth table by myself reserved for 7.30pm. I had a drink and chips but unfortunately couldn’t stay long anyway. It really annoys me when places are sniffy at people out by themselves!

Is that so? No more Two Chairmen?

That's not a good day for anyone

Went to The Landor last night. Weird to be sitting in the warm. Several pints of Murphys and I couldn’t finish the fourth. Felt peculiar. Went home. Had explosive guts and went to bed.
Can’t see me doing this as a thing now. Would rather be in the park with better beer and my mates.

I know mate, real shame.

Not sure if I'm going to go to the pub now, missus is no longer meeting her sisters but at the moment doesn't fancy the pub I was planning on going to :(

Need to get my charm on over next few hours
We believe in you & your mighty quest.

If the weather improves I (and my wallet) are more than happy in the park with me book & a bottle of Westons Vintage. The pub I used to drink in has put the price of a pint of Thatchers from £2.80 pre-pandemic to £4.15 now. Fuck that can get four tinnys & some change for that.
Come on Sunshine!!!
Yeah pubs are a complete rip-off. I avoid em. I either drink at home, or up the park if it's a nice day.

I have yet to drink at a pub since I've been in London but back home in Bristol I have been to 4 different pubs all outside. I have an excellent coat for windy damp weather plus all the places were under cover. Two places I haven't been to before, both breweries- seem to be absolutely tons of them in Bristol!

There's been some news reports about possible beer shortages, because breweries hadn't expected the demand to shoot up so much, and so quickly, after we were let off the leash, after such a long lockdown, the silly twats. :D
There have been quite of lot of reports that some pubs have been underwhelmed tbf

Too much anti-pub feeling in some recent posts .... :(

Pubs are admittedly cheap here in Swansea, but you won't get me not enjoying a pint outside or inside a pub!

The weather's meant to be on the improve later this week as well, so back to sitting outside the pub very soon! :)

(I'm not intending to return to the pub until Thursday this week, mind)
