I think the popularity boils downs to
1. Massive government bailing out of the real economy - i.e. giving a lot of people money
2. Not looking closely at what has happened and thinking Well it is a hard situation, Im sure they're doing their best

i think it boils down to 'the government's measures against the virus don't seem that clever but i really hope they're doing the right thing and not what tory governments usually do'I think the popularity boils downs to
