real anti-semitism if when yo uwalk past a bill board every day on your way to work claiming that jews are running moldova and the churches in moldova, with some photos of some jews next to some orthodox priests and a sign saying "who's really in control here" or something similar.

real anti-semitism is when despite the fact that there were once 77 working synagogues in a city there are now only 2. Only around 5 jewish families are now practicing jews thanks to years of suppression by the Soviet Union and before that the holocaust. Chisinau used be a 70% jewish city btw.

real anti-semitism isn't someone calling out israel for its disgusting and criminal actions which shame the entire name of world jewry and have become a cancer in the body of the jewish people causing thousands and thousands of jews to leave the faith, which have turned a country into more like a pagan idol and destroyed our morality and turned us into cheerleaders of violence.

I think that it's the revulsion of many Jews around the world against Israel's actions which can have a big effect on how the future plays out.

They are not nazis. the nazi one is a cheap and emotional one to make and an easy one to make due to the obvious similarities but they're not nazis.

there is a difference between nazi and fascist though and there are some fairly obvious parallels of israeli ruling-class ideology and fascism.

There have been general strikes and protests called across Israel today by citizens who are appalled by the IDF actions against the flotilla. Anti-semetic bastards, eh?

Well, if the boarding was illegal (and I can't tell for sure if it was) then the activists were presumably within their rights to try to repel the armed boarders, even if it was only ever going to end one way ...

I'm sure the Israelis will claim it was entirely legal, but to paraphrase the immortal words of Mandy Rice Davies, 'Well they would say that wouldn't they?'

I can't find a clear statement of what international law applies in this case though. For it to be piracy they would have to be non-state actors as far as I can make out.
