But i don't want to see one dime of my tax money going to the french or germans.

Jesus Christ pbman, you're like a fucking spoilt child over this.

Those nasty French and Germans happened to have a different opinion from your beloved George Moron Bush - so all of a sudden they're the worst thing on the planet, they don't deserve to be listened to or allowed to participate etc tec. Fuck's sake, I bet there'll be some "evidence" that France has been helping out al-Q next, won't there?

What sort of a free world is it when you have to kowtow shamelessly to the Presdient of the USA, or be treated like this?

*Former regime figures, 3 April

It is now the 11th of April - and no one has been counting since the 3rd. Not sure if the Marines are cointing as they bulldoze the bodies into graves.

I'd heard (on regular news) that at least 2-3000 Iraqis died in Baghdad in one day alone, and that they'd lost count.

The french appear to have more than a difference of oppion with us.

I don't mind a difference of opinion.

When they cross over into being anit-american,just to promote themselves, i get pissed off.

When chirac said under no circumstances would he support us, he crossed that line for me.

And if it was the money of the french tax payers, i believe they would feel the same.

And if they just would have said they can't support the war, for their own economic interest, i could have respected that.

But lying and weaseling about it pisses me off.

And i think that americans like myself hate people lying much more than the people on the left.

Its a cultural thing.

The French were acting no more out of self-interest than the Americans, and well you know it.

It's just that, as far as you're concerned, evidently where two competing self-interests collide the US must always prevail and you won't accept that anyoe might have a good reason for standing in its way.

Acutually as an american, i don't mind other people telling us to get fucked.

Turkey opposed letting our troops use they land for the invation.

They made a good case on low much it cost them last time.

And i had no problem with it.

I even said so here on a thread.

I don't expect a poor country to make themselves poorer to help us out.

It would be rediculess.

Becaus they were honest, we could actually disscuse the facts.

Lying about it means that two sides can never agree.

Thats a very critical diff.

And you should know this from your own complaints about us.

Anyone heard of the US soldiers who shelled a Baghdad arsenal despite the advice of the neighbours, and residents of the area?

The subsequent explosion has destroyed 20 houses, killing many civilians as well as injuring many. Although the tank itself also has been struck with a missile from the volley of the missiles flying far and wide, and the crew burned to death on the scene in their tanks.

pb - what if Turkey didn't allow a large contingent of US soldiers through its country because they knew the Kurds would get to Kirkuk first despite all the promises - the US would not be able to remove them (with such a small force) so then Turkey could invade to prevent the Kurds getting the oil and establishing a powerbase which would cause Turkey problems. Just a thought.

Well you can't hate people lying that much. It's an established fact that Colon Powell presented forged documents and told bare faced lies about Iraqi WMD to the UN Security Council. The Thief in Chief and his band of cut throats have been lying all along about the contents of the UNSCOM document upon which they based their [false] estimates of Iraqi WMD. Why are these lies and these liars acceptable to you, could it be that you are a hypocrite? Or is that in your culture you simply can't tell the difference between a lie and a truth?

What was this lie of Chirac's that so offended you, you neglect to tell us?

No its not established.

But here you go in the mean time.

Fox News' Rick Leventhal — embedded with the 2nd Battalion, 23rd Marines in Baghdad — reported Friday that an Army intelligence unit was heading toward a suspect vehicle Friday where they will test for the presence of chemical or biological agents.

Capt. Aaron Robertson, an intelligence officer, told Fox News that there are seven to 15 vehicles in proximity to that suspect vehicle that they will be searching. Other vehicles have raised similar concerns, but they do not yet know if they are rigged with the same devices that may imply they were used for manufacturing such harmful agents.

BAGHDAD, Iraq — U.S. Marines may have found weapons-grade plutonium in a massive underground facility discovered beneath Iraq's Al Tuwaitha nuclear complex, Fox News confirmed Friday.

Coalition forces are investigating a stash of radioactive material found at the site south of Baghdad, an embedded reporter, Carl Prine of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, first told Fox News on Thursday.

U.S. defense officials on Friday confirmed that preliminary field tests did in fact indicate the material could be plutonium.

Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld has said that any potential weapons of mass destruction retrieved during Operation Iraqi Freedom will be analyzed by not only U.S. scientists, but weapons experts around the world, to be sure of the results.

And we might as well wait before going throu the process of arguing it out.

Total chaos reigns in Baghdad, and Mosul, and Basra, and probably every city the coalition is gonna invade because they have spread themselves too thinly and not really thought about the consequences. Troubled times, and again not going down at all well in the arab press :(

Clearly! You post And we did find WMD and will find a lot more. and when asked for evidence you point to yet two more cases, as yet unproven. Therefore there is no arguement.

So you agree with me. As yet no WMDs have been found?

They've been found.

But not proven 100% by indpendent labs.

Pointless to argue it further until then.

I'm sure the shopkeepers and hospital workers fending off looters with whatever they can lay their hands on will be mightily cheered by such platitudes.

News: Saddam Hussein and his family were going to leave Baghdad before the war started. As this would have scuppered the US plans to invade Iraq, the CIA made contact with the regime and paid Saddam $10 million to go but to do it quietly. He and his family were even flown out of the middle-east in a US military transport plane!

This hasn't been proved 100% yet.

You may call it a platitude. It may even be a platitude. But it is nevertheless true that the revolution happening in Iraq will take more than a day.

BBC just reports on TV that there's been a battle near the Syrian border for 2 weeks, still ongoing.

Looted Hospitals desperately short of medicine and equipments.

Civilian homes being looted and commerical premises.

ITN reports that ......

US soldiers have been forced to pull out of a town in northern Iraq, after coming under fire from arab townspeople. Armed, Kurdish militias are now on streets.

Snap out of your Foxsnews induced hypnosis and do yourself a favour sucker. The documants presented to the UN security Council by Colon Powell perporting to show that Iraq was engaged in the purchase of uranium ore were fabricated and were shown to be fabricated by UNMOVIC who subjected them to forensic examination. Their dismissal of them being forgeries provided one of the main reasons for the Security Councils refusal to endorse the USuk plunder and pillage initiative.

USuk forces have not found any WMD, Nor wll they unless, of course, they put them there themselves. Given that they have lied and forged their way all the way to Baghdad who would bet against them doing this?

Not me!

This IS were they got that expression: "...but that's just hearsay" from, isn't it?
Or, "not everything that you hear is true..."
or, for that matter "in war the first casualty is the truth..."

And yes, you're right, Rome wasn't built in a day... but it sure fell in a fucking hurry, didn't it?

It took a long time to "fall".

A very long time.

BBC reporter in central Baghdad (didn't catch his name) reporting that the looting is now falling in to Shia vs Sunni armed street fighting. This report came straight after the beeb reported all quiet in central Baghdad with accompanying pictures of baffled Iraqi's staring at US troops sitting in tanks.
