Glastonbury 2019

I'm not really a main-stages person at Glastonbury -- that poster on the previous page/Twitter is all about the large and relatively-large names on the bigger stages.

I'm not all that overwhelmed (yet) -- as well as the must-not-miss Cure, I can't immediately see all that many others that I'd really have to get along to.

I'd be up for Johnny Marr, Janelle Monae, Chemicals, The Good The Bad and the Queen, Kate Tempest, Christine and the Queens .... for others , I'll probably be led by curiosity ("the Spanish flamenco-trap musician Rosalia ???" :) ) as much as anything else.

And it's all about what you're doing at the time and where you are on site, plus whether we're working, what festivaldeb and others in our gang want to do, etc. etc.

And I'm reminding myself also, that there's at least a zillion (minimum :p ) other smaller acts yet to be revealed, all round the site, in venues such as the 'What's Going On Over There' tent :D

Is there a chance to buy tickets again coming soon?

There will likely be a resale in the couple of weeks after people who got tickets first time round have to pay their balance. Will likely be mid-April (I'll be trying myself) but best bet is keep an eye on the Glastonbury twitter and/or website.

colacubes : do you know when the balance-due date is?

We too are going to be keeping a keen eye for a resale date to be announced, and I'll post it here if I hear anything. Our pal who failed in October is also keeping a beady eye, and he reckons that resales might? be early-to-mid April ... not sure how confident he is about that though

No idea. It’s usually the 1st week of April.

Useful! I reckon resale date could easily? fall in the week starting Monday 8th April then .... not long at all anyway after the deadline for paying up (11:59 pm, Sunday 7th April.

 It says when the resale is:

'There will be a resale of any returned coach packages on Thursday 25th April followed by a general admission resale on Sunday 28th April.'

If you read down the resale date is confirmed as per Athos earlier post as 28 April.

OK, thanks, I've seen that now. To start with I just read the first bit for the payment-due date, sorry. But having the resale date will be useful for people to plan with :)

I'm convinced that in previous years, the resale dates were earlier in April than the 25th and 28th, but things change. The main thing is that people know the date in advance .....

I think you might have to make a tough choice William , Janelle Monáe closes WestHolts on Sunday and The Cure , Pyramid , maybe some opp to catch a bit of both if your legs are still ok by Sunday night but it will be tough .

Are the set times/days roughly known then??

Of those two, The Cure would have to win for me if there really ends up being that direct a contest ...... shame that! :hmm:

I feel very lucky that mine was confirmed just after Christmas especially as it’s my first Glastonbury with this team.

Yeah but you are aces and Tanky and I are looking forward to you being on the team

. When would be the ideal time, should it be before the public tickets are sold?

So the team I work for got 150 applications from new people wanting to join in the hours following the tickets selling out and a steady flow over the next few weeks.

I've been addicted to that efestivals Glasto Rumours page in the past  :D

But rumours aside, are the set times for all the headliners officially confirmed??
Sorry to hassle ....

No set times confirmed yet but it looks pretty certain from various directions that The Cure close Sunday on Pyramid and JM closes West Holts the same night so I am assuming that there will be at least some clash . I hope not but looks probable . from memory I think WH sometimes finishes later than pyramid , could be wrong though ?

Cheers :)
I was thinking myself that the differential between Pyramid and West Holts has been there for a while I think, so as you say and with luck, clashes won't be 100% ... all about wait and see for details though ...

Just like wait and see for us for our job confirmations .....

<drinks more beer to reduce paranoia :p >
