Glastonbury 2009

I'm going to bget one of those tomorrow. Do you still have to buy two to get the free tin?

You did when I bought online about a month ago, yes.

I'm not sure that taking a full two weeks work off around glasto was such a good idea now

I just got up and my flat looks like a bomb's hit it. There are cans, bottles and general mess everywhere, my head hurts and a good proportion of my Glasto chemicals have been consumed. I think I might have peaked a bit too early :D

I haven't aired my tent, done my shopping or any sort of packing whatsoever and now I need to clean the flat before heading west first thing tomorrow morning.

I'll have a cup of coffee, brekkie, some neuofen and a ciggie and then get on it.
LOL!! There's something about having plenty of time to get ready that makes you.. not get ready. So Im at work today. tomorrow off, which means I'll probably pack around midnight tomorrow - like i did last year when I didnt' take the day before off :D

Will, Debs an I have nearly finished shipping in. Got a lovely spot above the farm, from there we can see most of the site, with a clear view of the Pyramid.

After set up, we'll be visiting Wiskey. We have been promised tea at a table. Oh the decadance. :)
Exciting! :)

Too much waiting, I want to be there already!

Fingers crossed for no more PGC issues this year, don't fancy the 2+ hours queueing at PGB again, nor the big delays on the east-side carparks.

I'm dropping off my van tomorrow but then have to leave straight away and go back after work on Thurs. So I get the excitement of being there and then have to go back to work and be too distracted to do anything for 2 days!

well i have officially strated packing. Munch, tent and meds are done!

Im quite drunk after having to test the consistency of my gin and lemonade.:D

Good times!

I'm struggling with the news that Asda no longer sells cans of Olde English Cider. I was planning on buying two crates this evening and will have to choose another equally cheap but not too nasty cider to drink!

It's my first Glastonbury

My tent is already set up in one of the working areas

All I have to do is tip up at a gate, text a mate, get a wristband, and rock on

I went from 0% excited to 80% excited in one go

I'm saving the last 10% of excitement for Thursday

Anyone driving down from Brixton on Thursday night, or Friday? I have the clothes I stand in, and a small bag but no other gear (camping)

Ta

:)

Fucking buggery, shitting, fuckety fucking, cockbreath, cuntsock fucking weather. It better not fucking piss down.

The weather looks good in the (more certain) short term though. A lot of the time the forecasts are wrong for the next day, let alone 4 days time.

I'm leaving my wellies at home

Don't you dare, if it rains then it will be ALL YOUR FAULT!

I'm leaving them at home because I have a nice new snazzy pair of goretex walking boots :p

I'm not mad enough to do Glasto in just trainers :D

My glasto record is 1998, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008 so I've only had one mud free year!

if i go to Glastonbury, I could lose my leg.

Guess I ain't going.

Fuck, that's pretty final. But they'll be many more Glasto's, not many more legs. Take it easy, I'm sure they'll be many people raising a glass to you on Worthy Farm.

I actually got to use my dry shampoo this morning when I accidentally washed my hair with just conditioner and no shampoo like a total DICK.

It worked fairly well actually considering. Still a bit greazy but nothing a huge bow won't fix.

sorry to hear that el jefo. definately is worth missing tho under the circumstances.

just had my last deep warm bath.. shave.. feeling of total freshness.

last posting afore im on my way down. hopefully ill be able to manage one of the 6pm cida bus meet ups... i need a minimum of 10 hours in my bed here whilst i have a chance :)

have fun and safe journeys.

Right, i'm off on t'coach tomorrow, gona try and get some bar shifts over quick so I get some weekend properly off to enjoy the shenanigans in full. Should be a fucking wicked 'un, and not costing a penny so far. I should probably pack, I have to trundle all my stuff to Bristol tomorrow... fucking excited though! I've been before, but only for a day, never a full marathon 6 day bender!

Gona need to stock up on cider and wet wipes fo' sho', although having access to staff showers is good stuff  Wing us a PM with urbanite-meet details or if you want my phone number, or else I shall have to ask random loons if they've ever heard of Urban hehe. Take care people, have a good 'un! :) Sorry for those who cannot go due to various misfortunes... :(

Jefe: hope it works sir.

Great day. Not least of which was crossing a junction to find the steward was Mr Sunray!

Found the 'Wiskey festival dynasty' later.

It's awesome.lp
