Glastonbury 2008

That did cross my mind but I rinsed really well. :)

Tomorrow is going to go so slowly. :(

There aren't enough hours in tomorrow for me. I could do with at least 24 for the working day, for starters. Another 4 indoors to clean & tidy, along with another 1 or 2 for the bath. Add travelling to & from work, horse care and other miscellaneous stuff (like re-packing when I remember what I've forgotten) and getting up at *gulp* about 3 will be a real effort. :(

I rescind all previous 'I'll be the one........... ' comments and replace with 'I'll be the one asleep'. :D

I'll be here in 48 hours :D :D :D

and now it looks like this :D

Jackones latest forecast is up and it's a 3. Good enough for me.

so jackone isnt any better than any other source then?
:D

Its great here at the mo ( about 20 miles as the crow flies across the water)
the weather never usually deviates that much from whats happening here... I reckon were in for a reasonable one, ok so it wont be a scorcher but Ill be surprised if we are pitching on weds/thurs and its banging it down.

Its sunny here despite being forecast showers and I hope that continues, its a bit breezy, not too warm not too cold, good festy weather I reckon

and now it looks like this :D

Ive beenj looking at it at night for the past few... it really does look spooky and magical on the webcam of a night doesnt it?

Im getting all exited now! just my last shift in work to do tomorrow night and then a week of the only festival Ive ever wanted to go to and have waited years to attend....
with the 'little poerson ( whos now bigger than me) who alledgely would 'ruin my life'
Were going to have an amazing time whatever and I cant really believe that its actually happening:D:oops:

I think we will too....
Eldest hissyfit is about to burst I think, she keeps phoning Mrfit and leaving messages "Tell mum..."
and shes driving everyone at school bonkers, particularly the dept head who said she couldnt go who was overruled by one of the heads when she asked him if she could go and he said
"Of course, why the hell have you even asked me? go and have an amazing time"

( we need a devil smiley!)

I might not be able to 'indulge' but by god IM going to party!( booze excepted of course) and I hope I get to meet lots of you on Thursday at the cider bus!

Im so stupidly excited now its ridiculous!

my daughter's been a bit miffed about not going, not only cos I'm going, but because two of her best mates are too.

that'll learn her to be bad won't it!

good luck mysterygirl!

if I bump into you, I'd like you to talk about your horse to me :D

LOL - OK, you asked for it!!!

I'll settle for dry, definitely. Always liked camping, always loathed camping in the rain, even as a child.

*crosses fingers*

If it rains, I think I'll just move into a bar for the weekend. But it won't rain, because I have ponchos. :D

What, I was going to bring one. Nice to have a gazebo to shelter from weather of any kind.

Fine Guide says...
Gazebos take up other people’s camping space and usually get trashed – please don’t bring one.

There was some (admittedly lighthearted) speculation as to whether this may be rigorously enforced this year. :) People were certainly asked to take them down to make way for the Pennards flood refugees in '05.

Right - we're packed then, leaving Wed am, Radiohead gig to keep us busy tomorrow night. Ok, so I've been back through a few pages and can't go back any further just now, so for ease of things - is there now no Cider Bus Wed night and only Thurs night? And is it from 8pm? Might swing by at some point... :)

Good point that - does the Cider Bus meeting have a time? Or does it just sort of........ occur?

I was still kinda working on there being a meeting up on both days though? Anyone care to say whether or not they'll be there? It's Xan's birthday on Wednesday, Im guessing the Cider Bus will be seeing him at some point, even if he doesn't actually see *it*....... :)

I expect there will be a meet on the wednesday too, there has been every other year.

NOt done that yet
laaalaaa it will happen, I have had wine, must not pack now...

you are bouncing off the walls already, taking 4 smaller people with you and you are......... not packed, and drinking wine?!

Do you have tomorow off???? :hmm:
Packing for that lot will bring you back down to earth. As will packing the car, I expect.

Remember : ticket, tent, sleeping bag, money. Everything after that is a bonus. :)

OFF??? ummm nope

Oh ticket, check, parking pass, check ,box of 'stuff' ( is that packing) check
Box of food ( err packed??) ummm check??
tent, trolley errr
Look, its all here it will get from here to the car. Im bound to forget something, so long as its not the ticket , tent or children ( but even if its is:oops:) Ill cope!:D

LOL - it takes you that long?! :p

Train is at 12pm tomorrow, I've got to get some stuff yet.

24hr tesco's is handy.

I wanted to get my hair cut tomorrow. Argg, not enough time. I'm tired.

Give it a day and the tumble weeds will be blowing through this thread...

Had mine chopped on Saturday down at the local cheapo 'bloke hair' place. Are you working at the fest? There was a crew barber up at the farm a week ago. In hindsight, I wish I'd had it done there, just for the novelty factor. :)

Has anyone seen Banksy's latest piece of vandali..er... art, then?

he's apperently done two new pieces in glastonbury.
i've seen both and one of them didnt look like his at all but the second one did,
it was right next to the one he did here last years one, (which was swiftly painted over by the local yoot). :D

If people want to cane thier mobile battery over the fest. Orange have launched this swanky little app. I have been having a play with it and it has all the stage times up already.

dear oh dear.

whatever happened to going to a festival, not knowing who was playing, seeing some wicked bands anyway, never finding your mates but making some new friends and having a wicked time all weekend without ever knowing wtf was going on?

If you're daft enough to use it for anything other than a novelty gander, your battery will be flat in no time... so in that sense, it really will be like the old times. You won't know where your mates are, nor when anything is happening, or where. Nice one Orange. :D

Better:
- Print out 'halvin' Clashfinder before you go.
- Get free map from Info Point
- Job done.

Don't get me wrong I'm not advocating that sort of organisational approach. Fuck I don't want a text telling me I'm about to miss a band when my mind is elsewhere

I'm just at home in my living room at the moment high as a kite dicking around on the net and was kind of impressed by the effort they have gone to with that app. It's already killed the battery on my phone though, so I definitely won't be using it when I'm there.
