Bastard, we nearly came to that, we were in Bris at the time. But the crowds put us off cos we're wimps like ... :p

The Tofus kick arse, PM me for details of their next London gig ....

Oh yes my memories of that are .... erm .... in existence .... ;)

Well if Thatch dies the week before Glasto (dream on!!) I can see the Return of the Wicked Vehicleists and their 'Repetitive Beats' happening!!!! :p :D

Bah ed. You are almost falling into the "Why Reading is Better" lineup trap.

You know that even if Pinky and Perky were playing the Pyramid, all day every day, you'd not be near that stage and not care.

500 Acts. Five fucking hundred.

There's alot to like. Every year. ;)

No, it's not down to the line up. In fact, I'd prefer it if there were less well known bands and it was more about the vibe and the weird, quirky stuff.

Last year was just felt too big for my tastes and I'm not sure I could handle a third sludge fest on the trot. But I may well change my mind soon.

Last year was the worst Glastonbury I have ever been to even though I had a good time if that makes sense. Too big and busy.

Editor/others in doubt

Neil Diamond is stone cold irrelevant. He might as well be dead for all the notice I'm going to take of his being there.

I think Deb might want to see him ... I'll be, erm, ... 'busy' at that time 'elsewhere' though :p

In any case as you know, Paolo's right about all the other acts and attractions all over the site, you can get away from the crowds and popular stuff really easily.

And so much more easily in 2008 because with NO MUD** :p , people will spread about over a much bigger area, sitting down all around the open spaces, not clogging the paths and sheltered places, etc.. as they did last time. And not moving around so slowly what with there being no mud to slow them down ....

**Likelihood pretty good of a mudfree one this time. Last year's was exceptional, freakish even. To have four Glastonburys in a row with mud (even though 2005 was only partly muddy -- there were scorching days too) really would be ultra freakish. Late June is supposed to be summer despite recent Glasto-week efforts to conceal that.

I'm gambling -- and Glastonbury is a week later than normal this year too

Question, is the festival now for sad old gimmers. (Mr Eavis is worried about the old age of the attendees according to radio 4 this morning).

oh ffs

from BBC website said:
Last year, revellers were told any tents that were left behind would be sent to crisis areas around the world.

But owing to a mix-up over who was supposed to collect them, many were binned.
