Far-right response to Southport Outrage And Ongoing Violent Disorder

Mate, you quoted a load of posts from them, some were certainly dodgy, I clicked on a couple, and they had warnings on both, so the mods are aware, so can I respectfully suggest you should leave it at that, and not continue this derail? :)

Fair enough.

(Although still think they and their right wing acolytes should be flagged up at every given opportunity, but will desist on this important thread...)

These are the Welsh ones now being taken seriously

Two or three quick questions on that one.

1) What does 'something has to be done, but not at the cost our forefathers fought and died for' mean? I've read it a few times. I don't know exactly what it means.

2) Why has the Tenby one got a different symbol (the red things) to the others and what do they mean?

3) To me, this looks more believable than a list of 20-odd solictors googled off the net. So, in your opinion ddraig, is it real? Coz if it is, I can probably make Tenby on Saturday and Swansea on Sunday.

I've just done enough time in the past - so you don't have to - on non-existent fascist goose chases. Fight clever. Box clever. Pick your battles.

Young Muslims in Swansea say they feel increasingly unsafe. 😕

Mahaboob Basha from Sketty Mosque in Swansea said the community was "deeply unsettled" but has received strong local support.

Uzo Iwobi of Race Council Cymru condemned the "shocking" racist violence.

At Sketty Mosque, 14-year-old Jana said she usually felt protected in her city, but "after what’s happened, I feel like I can’t go out alone".

She added: "Especially because as a woman, I wear the hijab. It’s very easy to tell that I’m a Muslim."

Riots: Swansea Muslims 'feel unsafe' amid surge in violence

I've not seen any Racist scumthuggery mobs yet in Swansea but perception is everything.....I'm sure Id feel unsafe anywhere in the country now if my skin colour was not scumbag-approved.

BBC are still referring to these cunts as ‘protestors’. They were running down streets smashing up homes and cars of anyone brown (and a few others by mistake) in boro, attacking black people outside cafes in Manchester, ripping off hijabs in multiple places and trying to burn people out of hotels. These are racist pogroms, not protests, and about time they were called what they are. It’s not angry people in local newspaper territory ffs.

This post is as good a jumping off point as any for another memory that's been bumping around my head a fair bit the past week or so: I remember Tommy Robinson's visit to Lower Broughton during his MEP run in 2019 being a stressful occasion.
This is purely my interpretation of things, not one based on any indepth conversation with the other side, but I felt like most of the people who were throwing rocks and stuff at us didn't seem like hardcore fascists, more just local kids who'd seen outsiders coming into their area and were up for a scrap with them, and what I kept thinking was...if my reading of that situation's right, then what had to go wrong that they saw "us", almost entirely people who live and work not that far away, as being outsiders, and yet some grifting shortarse with too many names from Luton who spends half his time travelling around the world can rock up in their area with his traveling circus and not provoke the same hostility from them? I don't really have any proper conclusion to go here, but your recent posts have been really making me think over that same question again.

This deserves a thread and discussion of its own at some point.

Anyone who has been active in anti fascism and/or community work will have had similar experiences.

Sometimes, I have to say, it’s entirely justified because sometimes ‘the left’ are outsiders. Sometimes, the left is there to lecture and ‘lead’ not to listen and support.

But often it’s not and so it’s something that does need wider reflection and discussion.

Robinson gets an, undeserved, level of respect for being a football lad and for his perceived threat to authority. That also needs to be discussed, because too often our side is seen as on the same side as the politicians/media/‘woke’ etc

I literally gave a final warning about it earlier on in this thread, designed not to derail. So if people could not derail I would appreciate it thanks.

First man convicted of stirring up racial hatred for Facebook posts

A man has become the first suspect to be convicted of stirring up racial hatred during the riots after posting messages on Facebook about attacking a hotel housing asylum seekers.

Jordan Parlour pleaded guilty to using threatening words or behaviour to stir up racial hatred after making advocating an attack on a hotel in Leeds.

The 28-year-old has been remanded in custody ahead of his sentencing on Friday.

The hotel was forced into lockdown on Saturday because of the riots, with at least one of its windows broken during the disorder.

There was no evidence that Parlour attended the hotel.

"I want to be absolutely clear, anyone involved in inciting this thuggish behaviour will face severe consequences," Nick Price, director of legal services at the Crown Prosecution Service said.

"Parlour advocated violence through his online posts and risked the safety of those staying at the hotel.

"The CPS will continue to act swiftly and robustly regarding these cases and ensure those responsible for such deplorable criminality are brought to justice."

White supremacist Jordan Parlour, a 28-year-old "sign installer" described by his solicitor as a 'family man', used Facebook posts to incite other white supremacists to target the Britannia Hotel in the Seacroft area of Leeds.

One post read: 'Every man and his dog should smash the f**k out of the Britannia Hotel.'

In a second, he stated: 'Cos they are over here living the life of Reilly, off the tax you hard working people earn, when it could be put to better use.'

No doubt as he was remanded into custody for sentencing, white supremacist Jordan Parlour felt delighted and privileged to have been represented in court by someone called Anjum Nazir.

I've seen him before

Rule-givers, arbiters of worthiness? That would draw scorn.

Anyone watching newsnight, there is a lady (didn't catch her namez) she works for a local refugee charity / centre in liverpool and has been told that some on social media that her workplace tomorrow is a target and there is a threat of people threatening to setting fire to the building?

Hopefully the item on newsnight will be on I player soon?

This is white supremacist neo-nazi, Matthew Hankinson, who was imprisoned for six years at the Old Bailey on 18 July 2018 for membership of the proscribed terrorist organisation, National Action.

ITV News have found out where he was a week ago, on Tuesday 30 July 2024 when white supremacist rioting commenced in Southport:

Sounds like ITV News have just got around to reading that Red Flare article from last Thursday then:
Quick thread search turns up that 39th posted it on the day it came out.

Elon Musk is going fucking mental tweeting at Starmer about grooming gangs and some white men supposedly getting harsher sentences for racism than an Asian man for raping a girl, because Musk is well-known for caring about women. In the same way a dairy farmer cares about cattle.

It's so pathetic. WEH WEH WEHHHHH PAY ATTENTION TO MEEEEEE

Huh, just spotted this post from some Geordie BJJ trainer that seems worth sharing:

I’m seeing a load of classist comments about the kickoffs around the country. It’s very easy to go: “yeah, as if Muhammad there got your job as a GP when you lot haven’t got two GCSE’s to rub together, lol.”
Well, I don’t have any GCSE’s either and it takes me a bit extra time to read an analogue clock face, and I always have to ask cashiers if I have given them enough money, or I overpay and tell them to put the change in the charity jar because I know I’ll feel stupid if I have to stand there counting it.
The only reason I’m politically literate is because I was raised by a deeply intelligent, anti-racist, trade unionist Grandmother, and had access to public libraries….you know, like the one they burned down in Liverpool this week.
Obviously there’s a faction of deeply malicious ringleaders, who are just bad people. There’s a political class and media that have f***ed people’s lives and led them to believe that a few charvas from Syria in a dinghy are the reason you can’t see a GP. There’s a load of people that have been let down by a system that hasn’t offered them a quality education, but aren’t stupid, and are indeed ‘civic minded’.
Instead of getting snobby about it, we might do better to consider the intersectionality of class, race and gender struggles without alienating young white men. We might do better to consider why ‘leftism’ has marketed so badly and alienated young white men, and why the Farage’s of the world have so effectively resonated with a young working class, and not even strictly white, or male.
