Far-right response to Southport Outrage And Ongoing Violent Disorder

“Far-right Irish thugs spent night drinking with UDA in Belfast loyalist bar

Tricolour waving anti-immigrant agitators from Dublin treated like ‘heroes’ after day of violence.

Irish far-right thugs who travelled from north Dublin for an anti-immigration rally on Saturday later spent the night drinking with UDA members in a loyalist bar.”

Leanne (Removals) Hodgson is in the house, the jailhouse, remanded in custody pending appearances at Newcastle Crown Court on September 2.

Forty-three-year-old Leanne Hodgson of Holborn Road, Sunderland was filmed pushing a wheelie bin at lines of officers, the court heard.

Her defence counsel Annalisa Moscardini said: “She has gone out earlier that day, she is not involved in the original march. There has become a point where they have closed the pubs, she has been very drunk.”

All three were remanded in custody pending appearances at Newcastle Crown Court on September 2.

Red Flare have just posted more info on this

A far-right Telgram group with 13,000 members is sharing a list of 39 immigration-related charities, advice centres and solicitors as targets for arson attacks on Wednesday night. The group also includes calls to murder ethnic minorities, anti-fascists and government ministers.

An administrator of the group is repeatedly posting a guide on how to commit arson attacks, authored by the Russian-Ukrainian neo-Nazi group National Socialism / White Power (NS/WP) Crew. NS/WP Crew is designated as a terrorist organisation in Russia.

The Telegram group was started in the wake of the Southport attack and has grown rapidly. It appears to represent the mainstreaming of 'Terrorgram' content in the British far right, with neo-Nazi terrorist content being shared with a wider audience of anti-migrant rioters.

Help us continue to expose far-right organising in the UK. Please email tips to mail@redflare.info and support our work at Donate to Support anti-fascist investigations in Britain, organized by Allan Jones.

I was referring to “20 minute city” conspiracy theorists
I thought you were referring to people who use the loos in the library for 20 minutes! :D

Btw, I thought the policy thing was 15 minute cities? The thing that advocates for people living and working etc within a 15 minute radius?

Caught after he forgot to hide his tattoos. :D

You would be shocked to learn from the most cursory of searches that this is not this gentleman's first ill-thought out, possibly leg-related public order rodeo

It was very brief, and I am certainly over-reacting because I'm freaked out by all this, and the humour makes me feel like people don't get how serious this is.

But yeah, I'll wind me neck in. 👍
It is serious and it is scary.

But some people work or have worked in jobs - eg newsrooms, hospitals, battlefields - where you develop a bit of a macabre sense of humour about things, otherwise it gets too much.

What I find mad is the amount of people who just bring the kiddies along while there's a standoff with riot police and projectiles being hurled around. On Sky News last night there was a woman just casually sitting on the grass near that hotel in Rotherham playing with her little one on her lap like it was a day out in the park. Great parenting!
Ehh... my parents took me to the pole tax demo that ended up being charged by riot police.
I ended up getting a piggy back view of the horse charge.

I’m guessing the atmosphere was like at one of those meetings of regional Mob bosses in the states - everything cheerful and friendly, but with the edge of risk of violent murder at any given moment…

Saying 400 arrests which sounds encouraging but how many will end up in jail? ..... 50 tops and for how long?

Oh yes, it's shocking how macabre it can get, I guess it's a human response, it's a useful coping mechanism if you regularly see a lot of violence, death, etc. We can't process everything negative on a human scale, so we minimise it with humour, and avoid disfunction in ourselves. I can appreciate that.

S’alright. I get it. I am also terrified by these mobs, though probably disproportiately so, compared to the people they are presently targetting. But brains are peculiar things and I spent all of yesterday afternoon fending off a panic attack, worrying about my work getting surrounded by violent drunks.

Sure I get that but then there's a difference between bringing kids to a demo against the government which probably would've been peaceful were it not for the police, and bringing them to race hate targeting of a Holiday Inn to witness its residents get murdered by arson (were it not for the police).

I'd guess you'd be more likely to see it in smaller places around the fringes of the city tbh. Apparently in Sheffield a small number showed up and sloped off looking sheepish when confronted by a much larger crowd, but then stuff pops up in Rotherham and the even smaller places near there. Probably a similar pattern in other cities.
I think a lot of it depends on street layouts in city centres and other focus points, as well as local police experience of demos and violent disorder

They probably didn't think so.

I mean I assume. They could be totally mental.
I mean also totally mental about parenting. Pretty sure they are two core elements short of a full English in a lot of senses.

both 15 and 20 minutes have been used in this particular discourse, I believe.
