Yipchaa!
Appreciate it's just a 3-min clip that he's not the focus of (in this context), and I'm only passingly aware of him myself, but just as a heads up: I think Asmongold (the streamer in the clip) is generally considered not a good guy, and certainly by urban standards.<snip>
Asmongold's main Twitch account was briefly suspended in August 2017 for a comment he made about survivors displaced by Hurricane Katrina.
He criticized Samantha Rivera Trevino, commonly known as Rivers, who won the fan vote for the 2024 Esports Awards Streamer of the Year,[30] saying "I’m salty because it was obviously a diversity pick because she’s a woman, and everybody knows it. It should’ve been Speed or Kai, or CaseOh, or like three other people... You put her up there because she’s a female. It’s embarrassing, it’s patronising. She’s not even a top female streamer either."[31][32]
In a Twitch stream on October 14, 2024, he called Palestinians "terrible people" from "an inferior culture" that "kills people for their identity" and "is directly antithetical to everything Western values stand for."[33][34] He also said that they "have genocide built into Sharia law right now, so no, I'm not going to cry a fucking river when people who have genocide that's baked into their laws are getting genocided."[35] His ZackRawrr account on Twitch was banned for 14 days due to violating the platform's hateful conduct policy.[35][36] He posted an apology, stating that he deserved the backlash and the ban.[37]
As I say, prob unlikely any more would have been posted, but figured it worth mentioning on the off-chance it became one of those things where someone watched the clip, got curious, and more of his stuff was posted.
