Without a home ground it’s always going to be tough.
And with only 9 league games and a few European matches it’s also tough to run a stadium on that revenue even if you own itWithout a home ground it’s always going to be tough.
Do clubs need to be independent from the RFU?And with only 9 league games and a few European matches it’s also tough to run a stadium on that revenue even if you own it
It would be better if the clubs were RFU owned and players centrally contracted but the RFU sat on their hands in 1995 and have chosen to do so ever sinceDo clubs need to be independent from the RFU?
You mean Sarries, right? The Stoop is SW London.realistically I don’t think London can sustain more than 2 clubs, particularly as they play in the same part of town as Harlequins.
No - I mean Quins. You mean Sarries, right? The Stoop is SW London.
Have Irish's attendances gone down since they left Reading?
You're right. For some reason I had always thought Brentford was further north than it in fact is.No - I mean Quins.
London Irish play in Brentford which is only a few miles from the stoop. The club has always been SW London based, they played in Reading for some years but they still trained in Sunbury where their club HQ remained. No idea on their attendances but the new stadium never looks full
Or the Brentford / Brentwood confusion I am often afflicted by?You're right. For some reason I had always thought Brentford was further north than it in fact is.
Probably, training squads have been named already for some nations. I was parochially waiting for the England squad to be named before startingIs it time for a world cup thread yet?
Maybe. One thing that stands out in Leinster is that without Sexton and/or Ryan there is no real leadership. There’s no gobby players. Ireland I think has better leadership with POM and Earls in the squad. The last two Leinster results have perhaps been a cause for a flutter of panic in the Irish camp
