So did anyone here get fined for not filling it in? I got a letter and a knock on the door saying I hadn’t done it despite doing so a couple of weeks earlier online. But nothing after that.

That says that the 1871 census asked if you were a lunatic, imbecile or idiot. But what if you were all three? Maybe that’s why they dropped the question
