When you book it for weakened immune system, what sort of evidence do you need to bring with you? Am I expecting a DWP style grilling when I get there?
You shouldn't need to bring anything, it just won't let you book until you're eligible unless that's been changed recently.

I’ve had a text message inviting me to book for it.

Not sure what to do. The invite will be based on my home address where my GP is, but I’m living between 3 different cities. I’m guessing that going to a vaccination centre in a different city to where my GP is won’t work. If I need a day or two to recover from it that adds a layer to the logistics. Hmm.
I'm in a similar situation. I was kind of thinking I'd just go to a pharmacy with walk in jabs, no appt necessary. There are more and more offering it again. Assuming, that just showing the gp text invite will be enough. I did that for my flu jab last year no problem.

My next post vaccine update (with my extremely scientific n=1 :D): achiness either lasted an evening or a night - bit hard to tell what’s that and what’s common garden achiness from my first dance class in two months.

But word of warning to anyone with skin/allergic sensitivities - it was listed as a possible side effect and some ezcema which was getting better is now very obviously not 😭 So maybe check you’ve got your appropriate flare up treatment in the cupboard before getting jabbed.

Oh god, my feet aren't quite healed yet from my last 3 year flare up (so much scarring).

Is there a different one I can have?

Tricky 😬 Although everyone is different, maybe just something to prepare for as a possibility so you’ve got the right stocks in?

Aye, I have some of the strong cortisone cream, unfortunately nothing much touched it. It suddenly improved earlier this year seemingly of its own accord. I think I am allergic to some of the stuff in creams and ointments tbh. But as medical science failed to get it under control in the slightest, I'm a bit wary about angering it again!

If it helps I think the flare up was a temporary thing as they’ve stopped itching and look better again…

Pleased to hear that you are much recovered! Eczema is a complete bastard.
I'll try to worry a bit less about that side effect now, thanks for reporting back :)

So.... had the new spikevax one, feeling moderately ill about 6 hours in, how long do I expect the side effects to go on for? Can I safely make plans for tomorrow afternoon?

It varies per person so I doubt its possible to give a properly guide. In the past some people had no ill effects at all, some had one rough night, some felt a bit dodgy for a few days I think. And not easy to know whether the updated vaccine will widely change that picture.

I’ve now had two text messages from my GP surgery and two from “NHSvaccine” telling me to book the 4th covid one. I want to, I just haven’t figured out where or when because my life is chaos right now.

Got my flu jab booked for a week's time. Not been offered a covid booster yet despite being over 50 and asthmatic.

Up to last weekend, very few doses had been delivered to my part of the country. A local centre has received only 700 instead of the 10,000 they'll want to give.

Maybe I'll get offered the booster with my flu jab. If so, I'll gladly take it. If not, I'll ask

I wasn't offered one yet - I went online and it let me apply. A couple of days after the jab I had a letter inviting me to apply for it.

Had mine yesterday - got the bivalent flavoured one. Thankfully I booked a slot as they were also doing walk-ins and there was a massive queue.

No side effects bar the usual slightly sore arm.

I'm 62 but healthy and just had a text saying it's up to me to organise it - but the NHS pages linked-to tell me to sod off and there is no way I'm going to phone them.

The nearest walk-in centre is apparently a mile walk and a bus ride to where I used to work...

I had an email with the same duff info.
I suppose I should be used to getting competing texts from several different numbers...
Hopefully my GP surgery will send me an invite either for this or the flu jab or both.

I'm not particularly worried as I still mask-up in shops even though I'm usually the only one who does.

NHSvaccine:

Our records show you're eligible to receive a further COVID-19 vaccination this autumn. Your protection from previous doses may now be reduced and will continue to decline.

You can book at https: // www.nhs.uk/get-vaccination or by calling 119,
or for walk-in services visit The NHS website /vaccinė-walk-in.

It sounds similar to the text messages I've had. One of the questions on the NHS web page the text links you to must have an answer which puts you in the "go ahead and book" bracket. For me, it's "Are you at high risk of coronavirus (COVID-19) due to a health condition?" - I asked my GP about that and she confirmed that she'd put me in that bracket and that's why I've had the early vaccine invitations. I regularly look after an elderly person, and I do some frontline social care work, but it's neither of those generating the texts. I didn't think my health condition puts me at high risk but my GP obviously disagrees 🤷‍♂️

I think I had my first jabs early because of spurious T2 diabetes on my record I'm trying to get removed ...

My arm is pretty much completely normal now, just very slight tenderness. Had weird dreams last night - had them after each vaccine so that's not new.

Moderna bivalent. Not allowed to drive (motorbike) for 15 minutes so am sitting on a bench killing time. If I'd realised I wouldn't have timed it for when all the local cafes have just shut.

No, not yet, and its been increasingly difficult to organise for myself and Dad that Im looking after, at his house, miles from my home. GP surgery of his in the NE seems to have its head up its arse (edit to add) Im this close to making a formal complaint about them, unable to contact them, they are unable to follow easy requests, dont return calls, dont give blood test results, booking domiciliary care seems like something they have never had to do.
