Who will win the 2024 US election?

Who will win?

That Trump won Georgia is just insane, he’s facing RICO charges for trying to overturn the 2020 election there! He shits in their mouths and these fucking Christmas-voting turkeys just say ‘yum, yum, more please!’ And they’ve also just re-elected the DA who brought the charges against him too! Fucking clueless idiots. If I lacked such a basic grasp of the world I just wouldn’t bother voting. Why the fuck do these idiots vote? They could just stay at home watching whatever shit they watch on the telly.

Do you know what? The Democratic party (funny sort of democracy) establishment has been humiliated, and its entire paradigm has been exposed as politically bankrupt. And I'm glad.

That's my first reaction.

i think a big part of the problem was them electing a man who often forgot how to speak whilst on stage. i liked biden, but it really was the time to get a decent leader absoloutly perfect in terms of charisma, presence etc. harris was good but had no time....
They were up against Trump, a man in steep cognitive decline, who looks like he's staged a dirty protest on his own face.

I think it's about Democrats continuing to say things are OK and failing to improve material conditions. Their base knows it's not getting better.

Trump is completely wrong about why things aren't OK and will make things worse but he does allow his supporters to imagine radical change. I can't understand why anyone would buy it but I do understand why they wouldn't buy either and not vote.

We'll have the same problem here in a couple of years when Starmerism faces reelection.

Yes. Plus this:

Yes, this.

200 not enough to probably extinguish humanity?

It's not about using them, it's about the threat of using them, and whether the other guy thinks there's a large enough chance that you will use them to make whatever he wanted not worth the potential/likely cost.

Nukes are not a weapon of war - well, they can be, but in very limited circumstances - they are a tool of politics.

Like, trump also invoked the bogeyman of 'the radical left'. He did that consistently. It's not like if they'd have chosen AOC or someone, the result would be different. Everyone failed. Marxists, 'never trump' republicans, generic liberals.

All that messaging about radical left/Marxists became a massive talking point among the MAGA online crowd, so it paid off.
