i don't think you've noticed that there are some things happening which were in neither manifesto. and from observation the lib dums have been fucking shit at negotiating, if things which their mps put their name to in no equivocal fashion are not in the coalition agreement.

I've heard this fucking argument a hundred times and it always leaves out the fact that a majority of people at the last election voted for parties that were arguing against drastic and immediate cuts, for example. But according to you the 'logic' of coalition politics trumps this very basic principle of (what passes for) democracy.

I agree with all of this, and i'd also add that the net effect of all those unmandated cuts will be to wreak devastation on the lives of the people who can withstand such devastation the least - the poor, the old, kids and young adults, the infirm, those in shitty, low-skilled, low-waged jobs.
