you're not referring to spanky leghorn here, you're referring to me. you snivelling worm, you can't even wriggle well.

He is referring to the violence of spanky leghorn's language and advising you that you should think before supporting such language. It's all clear enough to me.

This is threatening language:

deserves to have his head introduced to the pavement as rapidly as possible
what's worse, words on a BB, or the real violence, real destruction, that is being visited on the lives of millions, by the policies you are such a desperate apolgist for?

It isn't, actually. Not in law, nor, I suspect, in your head. Note the word 'deserves.' It is not a threat to kill to say someone deserves to die. It is a mere statement of opinion.

(adds 'law' to the list of things moonie knows nothing about. After, economics, history, political theory, sociology, mathsand semantics and several more...)

If you call the law pedantic it is. But it is a simple statement of fact, moon claimed Sparky Longhorn used threatening language, but Sparky Longhorn did not use threatening language. Of curse I understand why you dont wish to accept that fact, but, tough.

The suggestion was made that LibDems deserve to have their heads trampled on. That might not be against any law, but the threat is clearly implicit.

actually, it was specific against a particular subset of libdems (albeit a subset to which moonie belongs). And the idea that it was a serious threat, intended to be carried out, is as plausible as a libdem pledge.

Real violence & destruction is obviously worse than words, the fact you have to place an emphasis that the violence & destruction is 'real' probably suggests it's an hysterically hyperbolic term for describing a return in public spending to 2006 levels as a percentage of GDP.

Oh, come on. you've been on urban75 long enough to know that people say this sort of thing all the time.

the real violence is what the lib dems are supporting and defending.

Real violence & destruction is obviously worse than words, the fact you have to place an emphasis that the violence & destruction is 'real' probably suggests it's an hysterically hyperbolic term for describing a politically motivated assault on support and services to the poor, and a further, fundamental, shift in power to the rich

corrected for you
