i think, if not "most people" then a very sizeable proportiion of people are with us ... especially now ,...

lol, yes sounds like a political 'meet' in hell. Im sat here with my partner so can't flirt over politics.

Does he monitor your internet activity?

Hello, Shevek's partner!

Stop supporting the Lib Dems, you enemy of the poor, sick, disabled and old!

what I would say Isambard is form syndicates, take over the work-places, dismantles the hierarchical structures of oppression.

it was right below shevek's post so i assumed from what i said and what he said that - ah, forget it. if you have a problem with my posts say it, say what it is, don't make snide comments.

Well excuse me. Perhaps you could do as some others do, include a hint as to who you're talking to.

It was clear to everyone esle on the board. As has every one of your other 'misunderstandings'

You can't tell who a post is directed at even when that persons name is included in the post!

you haven't had the pleasure of L&L's observations before, have you?

Problem is, I haven't made any snide comments. Perhaps you would point out where I have. Oh no, of course, not. That would be difficult, as I haven't made any snide comments.

646, 649, 653, 654.

And they are just the first few ones from the last page. I imagine you thought they were all hilarious and clever.

This one's snide as fuck:

If I ever wanted a reason to vote for the tories, it was that THEY promised to dump ID Cards.
If one had bothered to follow the debate closely, it was patetntly obvious that the Labour plans were ill thought out and unworkable.
There are DOZENS of posts on it on U75.
The Lib Dem contribution here has been ZERO.
(I am also thankful to Camercnut but don't mention that in public) ;)

That's fundamentally untrue, Julian Huppert MP had very helpful interjections at the Committee stage of the bill and the civil libertarians within the Conservative party like Damian Green & David Davies wouldn't have been able to make the case for it to get priority treatment for parliamentary time without Lib Dem support.

you do realise that isn't actually funny when it's coming from a party tht's in government - and the most reactionary right wing government we've seen in years in fact.

I dont agree with the cuts and I support the students but I just think attacks on the Lib Dems are lazy. We know all one main political parties are shit. Why not stop concentrating on the problems with the Lib Dems and come up with some actual solutions.

It's easier for people on the political fringe to remain in a state of righteous indignation then actually deal with the pragmatic realties of power. Opposition is easy.

This one has almost passed through the Lords - The abolition of Identity Cards, the National Identity register, the next generation of biometric passports and the ContactPoint Database

The abolition of ID cards and the NIR were already part of the Tory manifesto, were they not?

"the political fringe" - your party has 9 points in the polls ffs.

Right wing in what way? It's not a socially conservative or authoritarian government. It’s less economically statist and more economically liberal than Labour were, but a lot of that is driven by sheer economical necessity. It would probably be just as addicted to high levels of public spending if there was an economic boom going on.

Fair enough, so you could still have a yearly rise in membership even with a drop since the coalition.

The point is that, in the five months they'd been in coalition with the Tories before the research was commissioned, they'd shed members.
And yeah, of course there may be a "yearly" rise in membership, just as there may be a continued fall over a twelve month period as opposed to a rise.

so a government with a leading minister in it who says your sinful if you dont have a job, isnt socially conservative then?
