Actually, you claimed to be talking about the good things the liberals won, but have had to change when you realised there were bascially none. So are having to come up with this gibberiosh of 'we helped them implement there own manifesto.' On the cuts, the tories DO still get the blame, but you get more of it, cos they always said they would do what they are doing, while your lot of liars claimed they would do something else entirely.

Surely even you can understand the difference.

Well raising the tax threshold for those on a low income is one thing the party has won from the Tories, seeing off the cut in inherritance tax another. As I said Clegg mentioned the need for cuts beforehand.

But not those cuts, and of an incredible different magnitude,as butchers showed. There is absolutely no mandate for these cuts.

Tax threshold - well done, after three days you've managed to find one thing! Pretty fucking small potatoes, and only about 1/6 if the increase in threshold you called for. Your best result, but not that impressive.

I could write a list of policies that I "hope" to see implimented by the coalition. Doesn't mean they will be. Given that they are only hopes, why list them as achievements? Or are you allowed to call fantasies achievements if you're in coalition? Given that according to Lib Dem logic going into coalition excuses lying through your teeth, both before and after the election, this may well be the case.

You really don't understand what coalition government involves, do you?

Did you miss out on basic education?

Despite that he may now be "good with colours" I won't be forgiving Huges for his homphobic electoral HATE campaign in Sothwark in a hurry.
He is NOT someone to bring me to vote LibDem - EVER AGAIN.

No, i'm talking about good things the coalition has done. If people hold that the cuts are only possible because of the Lib Dems, then the same logic must apply to the scrapping of ID cards and Contactpoint.

This is getting painful to watch now. If you look back you will find that I asked you what concessions the Tories had granted you; that's what you were responding to. And no, the same logic does NOT apply. Since you are in coalition you are duty bound to vote for the policies you (supposedly reluctantly, though I don't believe it) agreed to as part of the coalition agreement. With a minority Tory government you would still have got this through since it was in their manifesto - you could have voted for that but not the cuts.

So, I will ask again, what concessions have you been granted by the Tories in recognition of your obscene enabling?

You really couldn't find your own arse with both hands, could you?

I am aware of what coalition entails. So are the Lib Dems, who knew that their only possible route to power was coalition. This being the case, why make a promise you know full well you can't keep? (This is documented by the way, Alexander sent a memo round before the election saying as much).

I saw a placard this afternoon from the local Womens' Refuge, walking from work to the bus stop.
The message was:
"Hitting you is not the same as loving you."

My first thought?
Moon's comments how the LibDems "have" to attack the poorest and neediest.

You are on the wrong forum if you expect logical replies.

Which part of "you are not being anything other than a voice claiming total understanding who's vision of the world does not quite fit with mine" are you unable to comprehend?

All of it. I haven't got a clue what you're talking about. And since you seem to be big on correcting peoples' grammar, I will take this opportunity to point out that it's whose, not who's.

If I ever wanted a reason to vote for the tories, it was that THEY promised to dump ID Cards.
If one had bothered to follow the debate closely, it was patetntly obvious that the Labour plans were ill thought out and unworkable.
There are DOZENS of posts on it on U75.
The Lib Dem contribution here has been ZERO.
(I am also thankful to Camercnut but don't mention that in public) ;)

give the Lib Dems a break. I dont agree with the cuts but the way people are victimising the Lib Dems is frankly embarrassing

I now have totally changed my view on life. Had I only be told this before.

There are many on Urban who could fit that discription, tbf.

Several people have pointed out factual errors on his part (and yours). These are not differences of opinion, but matters of verifiable fact. You have yet to demonstrate ANY factual errors from anyone.

I've had shits that have a better grasp of logic than you.

I dont agree with the cuts and I support the students but I just think attacks on the Lib Dems are lazy. We know all one main political parties are shit. Why not stop concentrating on the problems with the Lib Dems and come up with some actual solutions.

Yes. :hmm: i'd like this thread to get back on topic actually, but you don't really show an interest in doing that.

what's your opinion about splits / clegg (or whoever) crossing the floor, etc? think it's likely?

I now have totally changed my view on life. Had I only be told this before.

That should be "had I only BEEN told this before." Or even better, "if only I had been told this before." If you're going to get pedantic about other peoples' grammar you really should check what you're typing.
