Rice with tomatoes, peppers, spring onion and Lancashire cheese

Noticed I had a few packs of Lancashire that need using in the cheese cave fridge so have to add it to everything.

Bastard fridge-freezer's decided to die after 12 years, just after a big food delivery, so it's batch cooking for the next couple of days. Tomorrow will be beef madras but tonight was harissa chicken, petits pois and seedy baguette. Rapidly-defrosting blueberries and raspberries with coconut milk yog after.

Recipe box dinner - salmon with black garlic sauce, roasted potatoes and tenderstem broccoli with mustard seeds.
First time I'd had black garlic, it made a lush sauce with shallots, parsley, balsamic vinegar and honey.

I discovered yesterday that my partner thinks of sugar snap peas more as a picnic food to be eaten raw & others use just for salad /stir fry and never with a roast! Mind blown!

The last little bit of the tomato and courgette pasta my lunchtime guests didn't eat, two slices of toast, one with peanut butter and one with jam, and a bar of Swiss milk chocolate that was reduced.

First of the courgettes that was, and very nice too.

I made chilli on Saturday night with leftovers Sunday (beef for me, quorn/beans/peppers for him) and we had a LOAD of sides - he made guacamole and pico de gallo, I made a green bean/chilli/tomato dish and a mushroom and melted cheese dish, and some plain rice in case we needed any more food....
