'Vegan diets are healthier and safer for dogs' says The Guardian about University of Winchester survey

Shipman wasn't a bad doctor though. In fact he was very highly considered by professional colleagues and patients alike.

It's safe to say however, that for various reasons he is not best remembered for the quality of his practice of medicine.
Bet he ate meat.

You could get SpookyFrank to build the rest. He's our resident fighter pilot, surgeon, and cycling instructor. He must have been an airframe tech too at some point!

I did do my work experience at 22 squadron search and rescue. If scrubbing salt off of a Sea King counts as being an 'airframe tech' then yes, you'd be right.

Not sure about fighter pilot. I trained to fly a bulldog when I was in the air cadets but those things would lose a fight with a seagull.

Pretty sure I never claimed to be a surgeon either, although I do know that porky pies are an excellent source of protein.

Different specialist subjects. That would be like asking a gp to design a hip joint for a geriatric with bone cancer in the hip. :(

Do you even remember my original question and your original answer? :D

I literally said you should build a helicopter and you replied saying I picked the wrong question as you were an avionics technician!

Which was in response to my cousin not knowing she was pregnant. Something a GP who deals with pregnancy on at least a weekly basis should have been able to work out.

I reckon you got your first aider badge in scouts too which is how you can call me a liar with a certain authority.

My sister was instructed by doctors to eat lots of meat and cheese at one point and to avoid carbs as much as possible. At the time she was attempting to grow back parts of her feet that had been eaten away by an infection. Maybe a vegan equivalent could have been possible. Don't know, but it's quite unlikely given her other health problems at the time. She needed fat!

So it's not quite true that everyone can easily follow a healthy vegan diet. Most people can, but some can't.
Shall I start telling stories of people who have been advised to cut back/cut out meat from their diets for obscure - and unverified - medical reasons to ensure this thread maintains its heady levels of whataboutery?

Or maybe posting up articles about people who turned vegan and saw massive improvements in their health? Because that happens too and it's also got absolutely fuck all with dogs and their diets.

Fuck off.

It’s a bit off when people report health advice given to their loved ones to cast doubt on that advice. Or imply the poster is lying.
Anyway it’s possible to have a healthy vegan diet just takes more attention. It’s not for me but good luck to those who it works. A bit more complicated when it comes to pet animals.
