But really it'd be because he knows where the bodies are buried and will likely need pardoning when he himself leaves the white house. Yes, that is likely. They never came after Nixon - Ford pardoned him for everything he did while president, but not for the shit he got up to in order to become president. That was just kept quiet.
But there is loads of state-level stuff with Trump. It would be nice for New York if he ended up never daring to set foot in it again.
However, that said, if I were Biden, I'd want something in return. Nixon got his pardon as part of a deal for resigning. What's Trump got to offer?
