US election 2020 thread

Clayton County GA reporting in an hour or so should take Biden into the lead

PA deficit is down to 26k

AZ Senate race has been called for the Dems

Got up early to switch back on and had a giggle making breakfast remembering this bit

Watching his meltdown again now and reading his recent tweets its quite bizarre how he still manages to get so much support from even those he belittles and looks down on

I had stopped listening a good while back and he seems to be even more mentally ill now it makes him dangerous if they really cannot stop him speaking :hmm:

“We see him like an Obese Turtle on his back, flailing in the hot sun, realizing his time is over.“

I was wondering how and why the dems lost seats in the House of Representatives, then I saw that Robbie Mook, HRC chief strategist in 2016 was in charge of dems strategy this time. He’s the US Dido Harding always failing upwards.

GA margin below 1500
Clayton County is counting the last of its ballots and these will take Biden into the lead

Philadelphia is counting its remaining 50,000+ ballots and these will take Biden into the lead when they drop

Pretty sure Biden was on 264 when I went to bed and the BBC now saying he’s on 253. What happened there?

I thought he’d been on 253 for a while, they’ve not given him Arizona but a lot of other places had given him that as the AP had called it (probably prematurely).

On AZ, Biden is 47k ahead and Maricopa County has c130k to report still. A couple of smaller counties have reported overnight and Biden's margin has ticked up very slightly. But Maricopa is the key

I was sure when I went to bed at least one of these fuckers would have been called or seemed to have flipped when I woke up. Alas no. Come on GA
They're both on the brink. Philly is sitting on a huge chunk of votes that they've been counting for ages. Clayton County in GA, one of the bluest in the state, has c5,000 votes to call in and they'll take him over

Brain shut down for 3 hours, seems like I've not missed much, . 20k more off the trumps Pennsylvania lead, that's about it

Trumps going to refuse to concede

Yeah, they're trickling the results out

The election call is going to be a big one for the networks. Implications of the reaction etc

I wonder if they’ll time it for 4am or something like that, so that most people will be asleep and the chances of an immediate reaction from assholes on the street is limited?

That literally just occurred to me
Once Biden's ahead in PA it would be ludicrous not to call the election. It's nearly 2am there and they've barely reported in Philly all night so possibly aiming to count the lot and then dump it all at once

Plus PA probably the safest place to make the call out of the remaining places, other states don’t want to be the ‘trigger’ as more polarised, more chance of things kicking off (maybe laxer gun laws too?)

tbh it's the only place. Georgia is a nailed on recount and they'll need to count the provisionals and overseas as well. AZ & NV only just have enough votes and NC won't count again until the 12th. PA makes it definitive
