He's been annoyed by Biden talking about winning apparently. But he clearly doesn't get that Biden only did that cos Trump claimed to have won himself. In a reasonable election, neither side would have claimed victory at all yet - they'd both just be saying 'wait, be patient, let the count happen'.

Yeah, I heard something the other day about the Democrats feeling in 2000 they'd let the Republicans shape the narrative of being the winners so they were determined not to let them have that space again.

Biden probably did it in part because the Democrats remembered lessons from 2000 that included failing to keep putting in convincing public performances on crucial days of delay, a failure to have Gore come across like the winner with real momentum on his side. And this time they knew Trump would take the low road so it wasnt very hard to come up with a script for Biden to take the high road with.

I've previously had the misfortune to watch him read a prepared speech with the same level of enthusiasm he put into todays. I dont think much of his charisma at the best of times but when he is in that mode its worse than Theresa May, its a charisma blackhole. a ratings killer, you're fired.

No postal vote bias to Biden in the west. More accustomed to everyone voting postally. Different dynamic. Nevada hasn't swung to Trump, though.
Arizona could go, tbf. Won't need it.

Arizona - state that has a history of mail-in voting prior to this election, so mail-in votes not as Dem heavy as elsewhere. Possible could remain Republican
Nevada - remaining votes all in highly Dem areas - less likely to go Republican.

NYT says 440k but those numbers aren't especially reliable tbh
The AZ counties reporting so far today have been Cochise & Pinal which are both ones in which Trump leads. The biggie is Maricopa (Phoenix) which dominates the state to the extent that you can't win it without carrying that county. Biden leads handily there but it's still trad Republican so no guarantee that it'll be wildly positive for Biden
The entire national popular vote lead is attributable to California at this point - Biden is up 4m in the state
