I think it's more likely because I missed the Joshua Abrams bit off my list tbhAre you implying belboid is notiorusly corrupt and takes backhanders from the likes of Low and the Sleaford Mods?
Maybe this is the secret to getting your choices into the charts?Just realised I voted Mario Batkovic twice! Rushed it. Doh.
It's okay, I only counted the lower placing as punishmentJust realised I voted Mario Batkovic twice! Rushed it. Doh.

That's the album I've kept going back to this year. It's exactly the kind of of synth-pop/post-punk/80s industrial/coldwave type stuff I'm into, done really well, with great tune after great tune, but then she goes and does that devastating cover of Ode to Billy Joe and it's in just the right place on the album and its fucking fantastic. The Gemma Cullingford album was on my shortlist.
I have been liking that, but don't think it really counts as a 2021 album. Many thanks to belboid again this year.
This was my top 10
02. Beach House - Once Twice Melody (would have been number 1 but only 8 out of 16 tracks released, the rest come out next month)
Probably not, but damn it's good so far.I have been liking that, but don't think it really counts as a 2021 album.
30 Chrissy - Physical Release
Physical Release is a declared effort to, in Chrissy’s own words, reclaim the “utopian ideals” of the dance scene and return it to its core principles: family, connection and joy. Very groovy.
Her music partner from Sink Ya Teeth released a couple of good tracks as well this year. This is my fave, it's a A Certain Ratio remix of a track from her 2020 EPThat's the album I've kept going back to this year. Didn't vote this year as I've listened to so little new music that it did not seem worthwhile but ^this deserved to chart it is great. It is so good that is should cause love detective to make an appearance? My list. Hastily compiled at the last minute, as usual
Arab Strap - As Days Get Dark
Yes recent output is good especially after so long out of the game . Must admit though I miss the edgyness and experimental side of their earlier stuff .This is good - quite surprised at how decent the current ACR stuff is - I listened to their recent album (from last year I think) after I went to see them the other week and there's some songs on there that are as good as anything they've done.
absolutely atrocious. Almost as bad as The Viagra Boys, who did end up on my list.Is it just me or is 'Ross From Friends' one of the worst band names of all time?
I also went to see them recently - was very impressed.
