I did, but I guess there must be a few more of us. Anyway you should definitely listen to the Delines, it made the (joint) number one for another ex-U75 poster too.it's a disgrace that the silver mt zion album isn't top 30 (although I'm very pleased by the placing of Battle Trance - who else voted for it?)
Give it another listen, when it first came out at the beginning of the year I didn't think it was poor but I was a little disappointed but re-listening to it when I was compiling my list I realised that I had underrated it.I've only heard Mogwai and I thought it was poor (and I love Mogwai)
Thanks for keeping me up to date with the Earth news this year.On The Bug news just spotted that he and Dylan Carson (from Earth) have collaborated on a couple of tracks
(not sure if danny la rouge will be interested?)
No probs, wasn't sure if you were a Bug fan or not but I thought I'd let you know. The Earth album kind of snuck under radar IMO.Thanks for keeping me up to date with the Earth this year.
I liked London Zoo, but haven't kept up to date with his doings. No probs, wasn't sure if you were a Bug fan or not but I thought I'd let you know. The Earth album kind of snuck under radar IMO.
For me, Spotify has transformed my ability to find and listen to new music. £10 a month for as much new stuff as I can possibly cram into a day? It's a no brainer as far as I'm concerned.I have the same thoughts every year about this thread.
1. Where do you all hear this stuff. Im lucky if i recognise a couple of the albums?
2. How do you find the time to listen to them all?
This is his first new album as the bug since that (he's done a couple as king midas sound inbetween) so listen to the new one and you're pretty much up to date. The earth collab sounded ok, but not earth (lol) shattering.I liked London Zoo, but haven't kept up to date with his doings.
mm, it made Number 6, which aint bad. Would have been higher but for, A: me overplacing the Shellac, it shouldn't really but at 3, and, B: Sandman's Coming, which I absolutely hate, and comes close to ruining the album. If it was closer to the beginning or the end, I could ignore it more easily, but being right in the middle....Anyway thanks belboid , though I can't believe that the Delines didn't make your cut.
Spotify, 6Music (well, they introduced me to the wonderful Trash Kit - listen to them everybody - & Honeyblood), support bands and other people on here, mainly.I have the same thoughts every year about this thread.

Always like the thread though.
or less than that if you listen via an adblocked browser!£10 a month for as much new stuff as I can possibly cram into a day? It's a no brainer as far as I'm concerned.
True, but I like using the iPad/phone app etc.or less than that if you listen via an adblocked browser!
aye, I liked the fiver deal, that seemed reasonable. A whole tenner....Plus I'd rather pay something back...
Is less than 2 CD'saye, I liked the fiver deal, that seemed reasonable. A whole tenner....
aye, but dont forget that I'm an old fart who still actually buys CD'sIs less than 2 CD's
That was my number one - clearly the rest of you have no taste at all.The unplaced Number 1's were:
The War On Drugs - Lost In The Dream (I thought this had an outside chance of being Number 1 – how wrong I was)
One person did, but only at number 25 or so, so it got nary a single point.Basically, no one voted for sunn 'n' Scott did they?
