Yea with Badenoch tops

A clue...Not that fucker Badenoch

It's still a very close race, but Badenoch appears to be just in the lead ATM, for what it's worth, and the top two in the Urban poll are the final two who will be voted on by the members.

For someone bleating about how crap Urban has been at predicting things, you seem a bit shy about declaring your own opinion :hmm:

All this would be funny if the story didn't end "enter Farage..."

What is funny is the egg on the face of the political commentariat who've spent the last 24 hours spaffing about the 'adults back in the room' after Cleverley topped the poll in the penultimate round and giving us their hot takes about how his flaccid brand of retro right centrist managerialism was the new hope for the Tories.

I predicted that Jenrick would win from the off, and I believe that he will beat Badenoch in the member ballot. But, you are right. Either of them represents the necessary next step in the formation of a right populist reformation. Either a merger or, more likely, Reform get a free pass to run against Labour in the 100 or so working class areas where it came second to Labour in the last GE and they stand aside for the Tories elsewhere.

As such Labour gloating is not only revealing in how out of touch it is if they feared Cleverly the candidate of the past, but also precisely the type of clueless fuckwittery that has doomed elite centrists across Europe who don't see the populist right capturing power right until it actually happens.

Jenrick will win it. Badenoch or him, what a choice.

Anyway fuck 'em and lololololol at today's vote and opening themselves up to more ridicule.

Labour must be very happy indeed, Cleverly was a big threat to them. Either of these two are just brilliant for them…
I started writing a lengthy reply to this, but deleted it because you wouldn't listen anyway. Such a stupid, infantile, thick take on the whole thing - you're sleepwalking into a far-right takeover.

Yeah this isn't the "slam dunk" people think it is. The Conservatives have decided that to battle against Reform, they'll choose someone to the right of them. That's not good. We're entering the end of consensus politics.
It’s a big win for Labour.

Well this poll seems to show just how crap at understanding their enemies many here are.
I got badencoh and jenrick for the final 2, 6/4 on both to win. I'm being offered twice the amount to cash badenoch out as I am for jenrick now. Bets laid nov 2. A mighty 1.80 profit awaits me whoever of them wins.

Either way we all lose tho
