Burns' highest test score is 133 and Broad's is 169. So, you may have a point. At inter school matches we would sometimes reverse the batting order. If Root's going to make daft decisions, why not make it fun.

Scary tail with Robinson walking out at 8. The fact that both Broad and Anderson are genuine no.11s nowadays doesn't help. Broad would be a lot easier to pick if he could still bat a bit.

I miss the days of Ricky Ponting stalking the outfield looking like he's going to kill someone. Or some one within England desperately wanting to call Kevin Peters Peiterson a cunt on camera.
It's all very sedate.
