The Ashes 2019

England have bowled absolute dross since the Smith wicket. Wide balls, long hops and half volley after half volley. This is where Root fails, the situation is sliding yet he does nothing.

Yeah when Nathan Lyon is hitting multiple boundaries in one over that's probably a sign that you're bowling dreck.

Yeah, the England bowlers are making Lyon look like a top-order batsman.

If England win this test, it will be a drawn series. It just occurred to me look it up, and if that happens, it would be the first drawn Ashes series in almost 50 years. The 1972 series in England was 2-2-1.

Remember when Strauss and Cook would come out to bat with maybe an hour or so, and both survive and not only that put on 40 odd quick runs

69 overs bowled. And they make Archer bowl 24 of them.

Do not ruin your new toy.

But bloody well bowled lad.

Wouldn't want to be facing that stuff.

Such is the life of an opener. Whilst everyone else is hiding you have to stroll out there and face their fastest bowlers at their most fresh and with a brand new ball in hand. Openers don't get a nightwatchman.

Its alright if it hits you as long as it doesn't hit the wicket. It's the bowler's job to get you out, they may enjoy hitting you but as long as you're still at the crease you're winning.
