The flipside is we've got to a point where we're still just about ahead despite missing our best bowler and being reduced to a four-man attack. I'm sure this isn't lost on the Australians, nor is the fact that they won the toss and still finished the first innings with a deficit of 90. Even if neither Archer nor Anderson is fit for Lord's, we'll still have an extra bowler and they'll still have a side with maybe two players in Lyon and Smith who you'd pick over their English opposite numbers. They don't even have a competent wicketkeeper.

Not a bad result with 20%of our strike force missing,
but Edgbaston is our fortress. Our banker. This is a huge morale boost for the Aussie team (because they are normally short on confidence and sporting mental toughness)
