The french pass that resulted in the North interception....WTF was France playing at. Three bad passes in a row. I nearly intercepted one of them from the sofa in my front room
In fairness they couldn't even only scrum that well. Couple of calls at the end aside we were comfortable with everything they chucked at usAnother three things I can’t fathom about France is why the still feel the need for lumps in second row who can only scrum? The Saffa was shite. Secondly why they can pull off spectacular handling do they need to push it further to outlandish passing? Lastly why not settle on two players to cover the backfield instead of having a free for all to get back and catch. If Picamoles is covering back then there is a picamoles shaped hole in defense or not looking to receive a pop pass or latch.
backline that hasn't played together before.

I have to say. I spent most of that first half with my head in my hand. If I'd had a cat I'd have kicked it. We just looked so fucking clueless. And Frances kicking game was on the money. They looked so good. I've woken up today thinking 'we got out of jail' with that one. That was victory snatched from the Jaws of defeat. Sure we were much much better second half but we were gifted two tries by French ineptitude. Take them out of the equation... We'd have been staring at a loss.(think my viewing experience was akin to that of GD. We were diabolical, however, first game done, banana skin avoided momentum starting to build... .)
First test though, apart from that young N’Tamack had a good game I thought. The headline in L'Equipe this morning is "What was he thinking?", underneath this image:
I'd agree with that. But no away team has ever, in the history of rugby, come back from a deficit like that.Stunning comeback. Not sure you can play that badly and get away with it again though.
Funny you should ask.... is someone on the sherbet early
Ireland grand slam.Ok...so yeah its a little bit early. But Im on the wine. And Im super excited. This year I promise to not get too angry/enraged and post stupid shit. I promise to not let my fury spill onto the thread. I will act with decorum. Take this declaration please and hold me to it!
Anyway. What an amazing Autumn International for some teams. Clean sweeps for wales and Ireland. Controversial TMO decisions. But some really memorable games-some superb tries and most of all-the gap between the SH and NH is closing.
2019 6N promises to be a blinder. Least of all because Bendeus will join me at least one of these fixtures to get absolutely destroyed.

We are embarrassingly rich in depth. Our two toughest fixtures are at home. Im going for a wales win on either. We may drop a game against Ireland. But I think Ireland will drop a game against Scotland. We will beat England at home. After today. I both Ireland and England at home dont look a scary prospect.
