The 6 Nations 2019 Thread

Probably less chance of injuries ahead of the tournament (particularly muscles during warm-up / cool down).

Not like they'll have forgotten what cold weather is like, they're professional rugby players.
We’ll see. First 15 or 20 mins tomorrow will tell a lot. Me I’d prefer to be in the same atmosphere in the week leading to the game

England team to face Ireland:

Daly; May, Slade, Tuilagi, Nowell; Farrell, B Youngs; M Vunipola, George, Sinckler, Itoje, Kruis, Wilson, T Curry, B Vunipola.

Replacements: Cowan-Dickie, Genge, Williams, Lawes, Hughes, Robson, Ford, Ashton

Thats a strong team facing us tomorrow. Can see Jones old trick of sending Tuilagi and Billy Vunipola down Sexton's channel. I can see either one of those bursting through and offloading to Nowell to score from 40 out, plus Daly's boot from 55 meters out will cost us. We're notoriously slow starters in this comp too. So essentially I'm not as confident as I thought I would be because unlike every other team the only way is down...*

The plus for me is we are hard to beat, Ben Youngs and a backline that hasn't played together before.

Ireland 15 England 12.

* The nineties destroyed my optimism.

Bloody hell...

16-0 at HT

How good are France? / How bad are Wales?

I’ve been really impressed by the French. Massive power from the forwards, great movement and handling from the backs. Didn’t expect this.

Hope the Welsh turn up in the 2nd half

Congratulations Wales. Talk about a game of two halves. Can’t get over how France had a fantastic kick chase then in the second half it disappeared. The tenacity of Wales, the tackling was something else.

As a Welsh fan I never want to watch a match like that again. France were so dominant.
Our handling was appalling. Piss poor on pitch management from Wales (wtf was that last breath kick from Anscombe end of second half).. And to come back from that deficit shows the tenacity of Wales and their mind set. I'm still banking on a GS decider against Ireland on super Saturday!
