The 2024 UK General Election - news, speculation and updates

I doubt that, but anything in the mid 30s shows there isn't much appetite for Labour and shows up starmer's line about getting the trust of the country as absolute bollocks.
Not that mad but probably not going to happen, Share of electorate in 2019 was higher than in 2015, 2010 and equal to 2005. So this time around turnout would probably need to be <60%.

Sky doing a piece saying similar just and also pointing out Tory vote done better than exit poll in the NE seats, though obviously bit different where they're the challenger.
Vote share is something losers love to talk about but this system of voting means winning seats matters more…

And it's suddenly 2 o'clock

I've been watching other stuff though and tuning out the boring triumphal labour's 'Change' speeches. I have to say though that tonight I am finding pure joy in the tories losing. :)

Tomorrow I'll be concerned about what labour's going to do .
Yeah I'm enjoying it just now but with the reservations you've got.

Reform are genuinely concerning me too.

This is why I'm watching, I have no illusions that Labour is going to do anything amazing (or anything much at all), but I want to see the tories getting trounced.
The Reform gain is not something to celebrate however, that's concerning although IMO not that unexpected.

Not on share of votes, not on number , but can make stats show what you want. Centrist dads are gonna centrist dads

Your storm is coming, probably deliver fascism to us like the rest of your cohort in Europe.
The voting system is what it is, you either accept reality and work with it to win power or you don’t…this is why we need it changed.

It turned out that the bar I DJ at had been chosen for the local Labour party's celebration night. It was a ticket only affair but seeing as I'm pretty much staff there and volunteered to take care of any tech problems, I figured no one would mind if I snuck in for a pint and lurked quietly at the bar.

Except two two councillors immediately recognised me, and the one said to to me, "people have paid to be here so if the bar fills up you'll have to leave." The place was nowhere near full, neither was it ever likely to be,
