T20 Cricket World Cup

Yeah, it's a nice bouncy track, but no horrors in it. Looks like a good wicket tbh. Finally. They got it right for the last match.

Are you sure? SKY nearly got his thumb broke, and now he's got another that flew up out of control. Two balls later Pant gets a grubber that gets him out.

Am watching England v Oman and the stadium is almost empty. I know Oman aren't the most illustrious opponents, but I would have expected more interest than this.

Apparently they need to do it in 5.2 overs to beat Scotland's NRR

Doesn't matter how many wickets they lose, as long as it's not 10

The public got it right.

There was a very good crowd for the earlier match between Bangladesh and the Netherlands, which was a good game. St Vincent has a population of 100,000. A pretty big proportion of them were there.

Worth having a bet on Australia losing to Scotland? :)

You'd want really long odds before it would be worth it IMO. Australia might have enjoyed trolling England a bit about net run rates but they're not about actually throwing matches and they're a better team than Scotland by a massive distance.

The risk to England would be another washout I think but it seems the weather forecast looks OK at the moment.

Who'd have thought that USA vs Ireland would be a huge game? But it is. Hope for no more rain. It's played enough havoc already.

Florida in June? Rain? Never!

Australia won't throw their game, sandpaper-gate is still too fresh and they'll be under extra scrutiny. And I'd like to think they wouldn't anyway. But Hazelwood wasn't trolling I don't think. He was being a dick.

Yeah. Hazelwood was being a dick and his teammates probably won't thank him for it. If anything, he's put extra pressure on Australia to win a game that ordinarily would only have an embarrassment factor to deal with.

Probably a better spectacle if England had batted first. At least you'd have (probably!) seen them score 220 or so before watching Oman collapse, perhaps even more quickly if they'd been chasing 10/11 per over.

I mean I'm not saying that they might not be shit and, if they go through, would crash and burn but at the moment it's shit weather rather their own shitness that is confounding them :D
