I dunno. As far as itoje goes I'm not sure ring rustiness contributes to giving away as many pens as an individual as we did as a team in 2019 (may be exaggerating slightly here ). He is an absolute specimen, for sure. Incredible power and athleticism and clearly intelligent. However, augmenting one's game by illegally contesting for the ball on the deck and living offside is only going to have a certain amount of mileage. I think Farrell, too, was teetering on the edge when it came to his tackling 'technique' and in fairness does appear to have addressed it. Itoje needs to do the same.
