Some good teams in there but who are Man Utd and Liverpool? Are they second rate non EU teams who sneak through the back door? Bless them anyway for filling the gaps in the early stages. I remember when Arsenal and Ipswich used to do the same.

Our local rivals in NLN Gloucester managed to lose 9-0 away at Chorley. Two down when they had a man sent off. Finally back in the city after a long exile and getting decent crowds and good backing too. Ha ha

The brother of Joao Moutinho ( Wolves and Portuguese midfielder) is a candidate for the Left Bloc in my parish on the local elections. I was out having a few beers with my sister and her husband and the area was full of motorcades and parties canvassing in cafes around the roundabout and the Left Bloc gave out a flyer and asked if I was registered to vote. Anyway had a chat with them and one of the women said this is our candidate to vote for in Paderne and said it was her husband, and then said I might have heard of his brother and then went onto say he played for Wolves and Portugal. Had a great chat and made a few more local political contacts.

I see there are thoughts of 'phasing out' heading from the game. Wondering how that'll work - eventually a foul for 'intentionally heading' the ball?

Players having to wait for the ball to come down in the area, fewer goals since goalkeepers will be more commanding in the area, increase in overhead kicks with more players being kicked in the head ...
