guardian is reporting that the last evening paper to do a football results edition on saturday evenings is stopping

:(

i can remember the (london) evening news doing one, then the london paper that maxwell brought out briefly in the late 80s revived it.

Yeah I remember the West Midlands one, used to feature the big six of Albion, Wolves, Villa, Blues, Wolves and Coventry. Coventry sort of drifted off to the East Midlands and were replaced with Walsall.

Wasn't sure whether to start a 22/23 thread, or just continue this one. Anyway......

Usual fail copying from Twitter, but Merthyr Town's team bus broke down on the way to Gosport Borough. The fans "donated" their bus, and came to Wincheter City's game instead!

I quite enjoyed this thread and think yeah it would be nice to see a 22/23 one

Macc's cheese sandwiches leave a sour taste in the mouth:
Wythenshawe Town are proud of the performance of the team yesterday. There was a clear game plan and we are delighted this almost paid off.

We are disappointed that there was crowd trouble. As with any supporter issue, there is fingers pointed at the opposition to pass blame. The club would like to make it clear that we categorically will not stand for violence from our supporters.

We are proud of our fan base and thank you for your support yesterday. Social media has shown that our supporters behaved fantastically yesterday as images have circulated of our supporters engaging with young Macclesfield fans. This is what our club is about.

Of course there may be a minority that behaved out of line. We don’t condone this. We will not make a further comment on that until a full investigation has taken place.

That said, we are also disappointed with the treatment of our players. One tray of cheese sandwiches in the dressing room for hospitality. It is disappointing and something that we will also look into. This leaves a sour taste in the mouth.

We will not be derailed and we thank you all for your fantastic support!
Apparently should have been their home tie and they asked to move it to Moss Rose too :D

Wythenshawe Town have a good little club house . Its local nick name is 'The Chicken Shack'

I've just signed up for a month of EPL live coverage plus La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, Championship for the princely sum of 1700 kzt for Setanta Kazakhstan which is £2.95. You need a VPN but everything is working . You ignore the need for a phone number just leave the billing adress as the country they list and pay by card. I think its the same package as Setanta Ukraine but I couldnt get my VPN to work on that. No idea if the football commentray is in Englsih ( not bothered tbh) . I've watched a bit of the tennis from Montreal but theres no commentary just the live feed which is English. I'll watch a bit of the championsip game tonight if i remember . Picture is flawless as its direct from their official channel not a pirated one.

Watching West Brom v Watford . The commentary language options are Ukrainian, Russian and Kazi . The English one just gives you the crowd noises.

If that went down to League One I'd consider it. I watch a dodgy iFollow stream but it's hard to get a decent non-stuttering picture. Our club video feed is just too pricey to justify much as I'd like to go legit.

I remember paying £5 or so (might have been more) to watch a Darlington game before/during the lockdown
