Grave robbing suspected in unregulated UK trade in human bones

I'd be totally cool with someone turning my skull into an ashtray or whatever, once I'm no longer using it to hold my brains. Seems much less wasteful than just sticking it in the ground or incinerating it.

Maybe we should be manning them again. Actually there's been some weird gravestone thefts going on around here recently too:


I thought that the issue with Burke and Hare was that they skipped the digging-up phase of the process.
 
I could make a cool angle poise lamp from a few bones and stuff, maybe people could have themselves specially repurposed after death to make useful household items for the family, people get remains made into gems or blasted into space, the undertaker could offer it as another service.
 
So is this zero waste or peak capitalism?

Exactly what I wanted to stumble upon over breakfast. Might go back to bed.
