Glastonbury 2019

Thing that jumps out to me is that they are spreading the late night love, which is great news. Dunno how they are getting away with that licence-wise though?
Stuff on till 5am in Stonebridge and other Park venues; 3am all over Silver Hayes; Arcadia - 2:30. The Glade going till 3am too. Unless I'm mistaken that's not really been the thing in the past, has it? That's gonna ease pressure off the SE corner and make it much more enjoyable (plus open up options around the site :cool:.

Even that jazz clash Wormhole stuff is in the early hours. Excellent. I reckon anybody stood in a queue to get in to London Underground this year is a flaming idiot. It's going to be a noisy Glastonbury.

It's a great idea, I'm just surprised they've found a way to make it work with the noise restrictions.
Yes, a friend of mine is the crowd safety manager and I think it's all been a bit of a headache tbh.

Moving Glastolatino and expanding B9 has been hard work I gather.

They've been wanting to migrate late night audiences out of the South East for quite a few years now, but it's always seemed like a virtually impossible task because of the various population proximities. I understand that they basically 'buy off' a lot of residents within blast range of the naughty corner.

I'm proper surprised at some of the solutions they are putting on this year. I can only imagine they are either feeling a bit more confident with their long-term license arrangements, or they are going for a fuck-it-or-bust approach at pushing boundaries.

Limited time now before we get on site -- for us, this will be round about midday or so on Sunday 23rd Jube ...:)

After chilling on Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd in Glastonbury town :D :p

But I sense a crisis!!!! :(

Will there be enough time to take in how much of the fuck is going on ahead of site-arrival time????
< x 1000 ;) >

The answer is clearly no, and quite rightly not.
The best "solution", every bloody Glastonbury, is always to have an absolute max of between zero and three must-sees a day, then make sure you miss at least one of those, including the zero option ;), through cider/disorganisedness/meeting random mates/seeing random acts as you wander about! :) :p

 What's going on in that tent/bar/cafe/group of mates/group of randoms/random shit thing over there???

I highly recommend kicking off your festie with Lankum in the Park 11:30 on the Friday. Brilliant trad Irish 4-piece. Their London show was one of the very best things I saw last year.

Jim bitch is proper old Skool , just a youngun in the day great if you like your hardcore and jungle and a proper lovely bloke !

This year because I have time on my hands I am planning to walk to Glastonbury from Essex on public footpaths , 230 miles , 14 days , early in the planning stages but walking The Thames Path from Woolwich to Goring , then crossing to follow the Ridgeway to Avebury and then Pilgrims way to Pilton . Looking forward this year more than usual .

Well it’s going ahead , leaving this Sunday on the first leg of 240 miles , that must make me the first to set off ?
