After having a bloody good time this year I'm actually re-invigorated about the festival and then this popped up ....

I was musing yesterday - on site at Brisfest where I'm finishing the season four months after I began it - that there are only 9 months until Glastonbury :)

Steeling myself for the hard yards after this week though

Your not the only one

I quote from paper ' Michael Eavis says more than one million people have already registered to join the annual scramble for tickets which will go up by £5 this year.'

I am glad I dont have to worry about tickets

That looks like it means there are a million people registered, but how long does the registration last, it's more than one year isn't it? So not all registered people will apply for a ticket.

So it's probably only 900k people after 135k tickets not 1m.:p

Some people have unlimited registration now, so it never expires ... other people have to re-register after 4 years.

At no point does it say there will be one million people trying to buy a ticket but if someone has taken the time to register then its a strong indication they will try to buy a ticket

I am sure that each year more and more people want to attend.

When I first started going in 1979 there was very few people in London who even knew there was a festival - now you cant go anywhere where people don't know there is a festival.

They are in the business of selling tickets and I am sure that interview will spur more on to try and buy.

Its just your luck at the end of the day.

Yeah I get that argument. 200 quid a head just seems a lot of money for a festival. Undoubtedly I would love it if I went though

Just do some work, tickets and registration and stuff suddenly become an irrelevance. Might even get cheap booze too.
I'm very interested in working on an info point for next years festival. There's only really info on car park and ticketing stewarding on the main glasto website. Anyone know the best place to contact to organise working on an Info Point?

I think you have to be a member of a specific branch of CND for a while to get the info point gig.

V = £185.00 (Early Bird Price)
Bestival = £180.00
Reading £202.50
Latitude = £182.50

Seems they are all about the same price for a Festival...and these are all 3 or 4 days only not the 5 you get at Glastonbury.

Seeing FB posts from mates saying they've already got tickets through a pre-sale deal thing.

Before I call chinny reckon, has this actually happened?

Some tipi rentalists from last year got a compensation package (for minor problems) which gave them an earlybird ticket guarantee. Probably that.
