Glastonbury 2009

I haven't been charged yet - just checked with the bank. :hmm:

Although I do have two confirmation numbers, and one e-mail, and the money (one lot) waiting to go out of my account so I should be OK.

Expensive though. :(

I'm not sure if we can go now. :( My car is deaded and I've been offered a golf that I can pay for in instalments but I haven't got a deposit to offer the guy that's selling it and I don't think we'll be able to get the rest of the money by february and pay for this car. :(

Have you already paid a deposit? You never know whats around the corner - it could be good as well as bad.

*fingers crossed*

Yeah we've paid the £100 quid for 2 tickets but didn't realise until sunday morning that the balance had to be paid in feb not april. We were kind of banking on being able to borrow the car money from family but it was a no.

I know we'd only get 80 quid back but at least then I could put a deposit down for the car.

what a shame... could you be a little bit cheeky and ask your close friends or rellies not to give you xmas pressies but donate to your Glasto fund instead... get a jar together, shove your small change in every couple of days and see how much you have by Feb??

Can you believe I actually forgot it was ticket day?

I can';t decide if I want to go yet - it's not natural at this time of year :(

I'm please to see that the ticket includes an unspecified quantity of firewood - if you don't get any, demand a refund! ;)

'The price will be £175 for a weekend ticket, plus £5 booking fee per ticket and £4.50 post and packaging per order. The ticket price includes camping from Wednesday 24th to Monday 29th June, firewood, souvenir Festival programme, and a Guardian mini Guide; as well as 5 days of entertainment, with over a thousand performances, markets, bars, Green Fields, and much, much more!'

How can there be 11 pages on this already?! Arent people still getting over this festival season?:D

It's because the first tranche of next years tickets (or the chance to pay a deposit for same) were made available the Sunday just gone.

Sides, nowt wrong with planning a festival season early ;)

.........and next year, will we be able to make those festivals we SAID we'd be able to make this year hmmm? :D:p

Hello there sir

I predict there will be short showers on the Thursday and Friday before a sunny weekend. Eavis will declare it the best Glastonbury ever

How did this early ticket thing go? Can you still get a ticket?

Nearly 70,000 sold on the first day. They are still available but I've not seen anything concrete anywhere to say how many were up for grabs. However once the first batch are all gone there won't be any more until April by which time the headliners will be announced.
