Glastonbury 2008

tigermilk, I was also the one who said:

And then you said:
please, keep on topic...

0800 079 2008 IS the number, there was a bit of confusion cos they sent out the wrong one to a few people, but that definitely is it.

its just busy, 'sall.

refresh just tries to reload the current page so if your on the busy page it reloads the busy page. If your on a the form and hit refresh you lose all the nice deatils you put in and go back to the begging.

NO HITTING REFRESH!

dave

But i'm not on a form, i'm just trying to get to the ticket page. should i be refreshing or not?

we've got them, about 10 minutes ago - someone's mate at work has a faster connection than we do at home!

good luck all

What if I remove the "busy" from the address bar and reload?

Wrong?

Okay?

I think we've had success, one person in our group got through and tried to get tickets for all of us but it said one registration number was bad, he went back and got each of ours one by one on the page he had open but I think on some it said the registration number had already been used so it's all a bit up in the air.

My mates just got his over the phone on 0800 079 2008.

Amazing, that's the first time I've heard of anyone getting tickets on the phone (apart from when I bought my first ever ticket in 1997).

We just kept pasting the link into the browser and trying again, refresh was a waste of time because it went back to "busy" straight away.

***GLASTO TICKETS - MAKING THE MOST OF YOUR INTERNET ATTEMPTS***

Did this last year - worked a treat.

The purpose of this is to turn 1 person refreshing 1 page into 30 people - using Firefox Tabs.

1. Get Firefox. http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/
2. Go back to this post.
3. Using your MIDDLE mouse button click these links below. Click loads - like 25-30 times and spread your 25-30 clicks over the 3 links to hedge your bets.

https://www.seetickets.com/g2008/regform.asp?orig=uk
https://www.wayahead-secure.co.uk/see/index.html
https://seetickets.com/g2008

This will open loads of TABs trying to connect to the server. 25-30 tabs is fine. any more and your pc might slow down a little.

4. Right of the rightmost tab there is a little down arrow - click this to see and manage all your tabs attempts to get through. They will almost always say "Problem Loading Page" etc.

5. When all have "Problem loading page" close down Firefox and try again. Rinse and repeat until....
6. You get one tab that has got through. Buy tickets and be happy.

quoted so i don't keep having to find it.

YES!! Tickets booked! Just keep trying.

Is there a confirmation webpage at the end of the booking process or does it just go back to the beginning? Think we got tickets but no way of knowing other than re-entering reg numbers, where it says 'reg numbers already used'........:(

Just looked up last year - MsShirl was first in at 9.20, and all but the coach tickets sold out at 10.55. I suspect the whole thing will be slower this year.

strange to have a T day that I'm not involved with... Good luck to y'all!

(it's probably going to be muddy again - and wet, miserable and the bands will be crap... Probably best not bothering!)

there was a confirmation on mine, and on trying again it said the reg no was used so yes you probably have a ticket

It said confirmation e-mail in next 24 hours

I'm through to a booking page and I might already have a ticket, if anyone is willing to risk giving me their debit card details etc. I'd book for them you, won't buy anything on your card, honest gov.

ooh, ooh, have got through the page where you put in reg number, then clicked submit on the next page wherre you confirm your address, but now it seems to be hanging with 'done' at the bottom of the browser.

Should i refresh or not?

Yeh ive got through to the booking page but its now having trouble connecting to the page that confirms your registration details. The page does seem to be freeing up now though as my friends got through at the same time
