I had one of my first sexual experiences with a member of that band....
If that was Debbie, did the experience make her turn to women instead :D
damn it. I forgot you were on this site. :D

I was thinking about Criss actually and she was in the band previous to My Bloody valentine wasnt she. Maybe I turned her to women too? :D

Anyway, Radiohead and the Verve?
I might have to sort out a blag after all.

Are you looking for a fight? :p

Depends how much you want to disagree with me over my opinion that they are the most vastly overated bunch of miserably whiney tossers ever to tread the boards at Worthy Farm :p

Radiohead
Verve
Kylie

And the other rumour is Led Zep but there's nay chance of that. I like the Verve but they're not a Glastonbury friday night band, 10 years ago yes, now...

For the serious festival geek, Item 05 - the Festival DeBrief.

http://www.mendip.gov.uk/CommitteeMeeting.asp?id=SX9452-A7822D24

Having issues with opening those Word attachments on my home PC, which is VERY primitive.

The reports may very well be dull, but they could very well also be sex and drugs and trock and roll for all I can tell ..... except for the initial agenda document for some reason, I can't currently read them ...

Will send link to my work PC ;)

Ticket day is the 6th of April and we will be requiring preregistration again this year.

E2A

According to XFM

The details for this year's annual Glastonbury ticket scrum have been released and we have the low-down here.

Tickets for the festival will go on sale to the general public on April 6.

As with last year's tout-busting measures, applicants will have to register their photo and contact details at www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk or by filling in a photo registration available at any branch of camping emporium Millets.

Registrants will be allocated a unique identification number which will correspond with their photo. The photos will then appear on successful applicants' tickets which in turn will be checked at the festival's entrance.

Full details will be made available at the festival's website by the middle of January

Yeah, you beat me to it, but the details look mainly unchangedm looking like you have th whole of February again, to register.

Does anyone know whether working people (Oxfam, Information crew, etc.) will have to register also? Will investigate anyway, but I'm not sure, cos over many many times I've never worked Glastonbury before ....

lol I was listening to XFM opposed to LastFM for the first time in a couple of weeks when they announced it.

I'm sure they do, but one of the people who worked last year would be able to say one way or the other.

whats the score with hole digging and fence climbing?
is it the same as previous years?
They have announced £700 authentic Ye Olde Glastonbury ticket packages that now include a couple of scousers letting you in over the fence under the watchful eye of a HSE inspector, to give the you the real feel the old Glastonbury.

wicked.
sign me up for one of them.

last time i actually got in like that was in 1992. I paid a local nutter £1 for a lift in the back of his pickup from castle cary train station to the top of the site where there was a single piece of wire as a fence :D happy days

They don't mention the bit about tickets then being sold through an utterly shite system that allows people to batch buy from the same computer - especially if they are nerdy members of TOS. Resulting in the festival being populated by 30yr old IT geeks and the occasional crusty who got in by accident.

TOS got binned. There is still a forum at that address being run by Virtual Festivals but no link on the main page of the Glasto forum anymore. Its days of getting 700 people online at the same time are long gone now. There will be groups out there buying for each other but I dont really see it being quite what it was last year.

They may tweak the software to prevent that but Id say its only 50/50 that they do. But if you do want to make a packet of cash, ingratiate yourself on VF or one of the other forums as a loveable helpfull person, try to get one of those open sockets on ticket day (or say you have) and just harvest bank details from peeps on MSN. :D

Well,
The missus says we're going so I guess I am. ;)
You're right though. There's always a way in if you know the right people.
And I do know quite a few of them.

i've worked at the festival for the past 15 years and never had to register, not even in the past few years. if you're concerned though, i'd suggest you contact your coordinator, or whoever you're planning to work for. might be worth registering anyway, in case you decide not to work or the job doesnt come off :)
