F1 2019

Missed most of Quali (due to football) yesterday :( but seemed to go as expected. Ferrari have found 'something' for sure. Not just catching Mercedes but comfortably overtaking their performance :hmm:

Not suggesting foul play but does not seem that Merc or Red Bull have taken much of a step back. I am not technical enough to explain this :D

It makes for an interesting end to the season at least. Hopefully an exciting race today

Good morning race fans:) It a little early for me really, Sundays, I like to stay in bed until at least 7am :) The rest of the week I'm up at 5.30 with the sun

Unless there are more penalty's applied before the start of the race this is the Russian GP Grid
1. Charles Leclerc, Ferrari
2. Lewis Hamilton, Mercedes
3. Sebastian Vettel, Ferrari
4. Valtteri Bottas, Mercedes
5. Carlos Sainz, McLaren
6. Nico Hulkenberg, Renault
7. Lando Norris, McLaren
8. Romain Grosjean, Haas
9. Max Verstappen, Red Bull
10. Daniel Ricciardo, Renault
11. Sergio Perez, Racing Point
12. Antonio Giovinazzi, Alfa Romeo
13. Kevin Magnussen, Haas
14. Lance Stroll, Racing Point
15. Kimi Raikkonen, Alfa Romeo
16. Pierre Gasly, Toro Rosso
17. George Russell, Williams
18. Robert Kubica, Williams
19. Daniil Kvyat, Toro Rosso
Pit Lane Alex Albon, Red Bull

The McLarens and Renaults so close together could make for an interesting "best of the rest" race

I really hope Lewis gets past on the run to the first corner, not just because I’m a fan, but because I reckon it will make for a better race. Much more prospect that LeClerc or Vettel can put pressure on and achieve an overtake for the lead that way. If the Mercs remain behind then I reckon they don’t have great odds of getting past.

Also interested to see what Verstappen can achieve from his somewhat low grid spot. He should have good pace and it’s a track which allows overtaking!

Vettle knows that if he keeps running faster than LeClerc the team will not force the swap, what Vettle wants is that Lewis gets ahead of LeClerc and then he wins
