F1 2019

Both Mercedes starting on the soft and Max on the super-soft, if there is rain tomorrow Red Bull need it to be with-in the first 12 or 13 laps, or they could be compromised, makes the race a little more interesting :)

This was a rare opportunity for them and they fucked it. Maybe a few points depending on traffic/weather and reliability.
This has been their problem over the last few years, they have failed to take the opportunities when they have come.

I'm hopping to learn a couple of new Italian words on Monday as the journalists find ever more creative ways of saying Ferrari are crap :) LOL

Good thing, might mean driver skills are more important in the outcome rather than the race being determined by who has the best car.

Sky Sports F1's German GP schedule
Sunday, July 28

12.30pm: German GP: Pit Lane Live
1.30pm: German GP: On The Grid

Plans cancelled today so going to watch the full coverage on the big telly laptop .

Good morning, things are hotting up for a different type of race today it seems, with the rain and some fast cars out of place:thumbs::)

Grid penalty's

Both Vettel and Norris will get grid penalty's (in Vettels case it doesn't really mean much as he qualified last anyway). As both cars have made changes to their electronics, under parc ferme rules they are penalized. Unlike Kimi Raikkonen who has changed his internal combustion engine, turbocharger and MGU-K. However the Finn is set to keep hold of fifth place on the grid as the FIA say all changes are "in conformity" with the regulations.

Ferrari breakdowns
The problem with Vettels car is thought to be related to a component on the intercooler, Ferrari say while the part is new to the car the same type of part has been used an many engines in the past, it was not a newly manufactured upgraded part.

Leclerc problem is believed to have been with the fuel pump control unit.

Trying to work how hard it is raining if at all. Looking at the #GermanGp updates on Twitter and (as usual) loads of conflicting reports.

A few rookies likely to be racing F1 in wet conditions for the first time. Wonder if Grosjean will keep it on the black stuff

If they start on wets or inters it could be good news for Max as he was starting on the softs, this race could be decided on where drivers are on track when the rain starts or the track drys out

Jenson Button always used to be good at judging when to drop the inters and fitting slicks. He'd caress the car round the tricky corners, but still lap 10 seconds faster than the others.

Happy days.
