A posh bar and some restaurants you can pay as much as 10B$ for a beer, my old lady and kids like the posh restaurants, but I like spit and sawdust bars

The closest pub to me has a lovely lounge, with old photos and comfy tables and seats.

It also has a bar that's as rough as a badger's arse: pool table, juke box, fruit machines, a clientele that looks like Durham E-Wing, using language that would make a pimp faint. Yup, that's where I go.

I finished Damon's book last week (Watching the wheels), its a good read. Suffered from Depression most of his life but didn't understand what it was for years.

My local bar is on the beach so sand under-foot and plastic tables and chairs, they have a few covered areas so we can sit in the shade as it gets fucking hot sitting in the sun

I have it as an ebook if you want a copy, I have a few F1 books as ebooks, I also read biographies mainly, if you like rock music bios I have loads of them as well.

Lordy! I packed in smoking about 20 years ago. That's 7,300 packets I've not smoked.

Yes. Round my way, (Befnal Green cor blimey, stone the crows etc.), most pubs charge £4-5. I have been to a hipster joint that charged me £6.50 for a pint but it was 8%*.

*I am a mug. They saw me coming.
