Ah well has to be said they were the stronger team, England not disgraced themselves though.

Shame Saka didn't seem to have the confidence to take defenders on - the time he did led to the goal didn't it? That was wonderful strike by Palmer.
Aye, fair play to both sides. Spain the best team in the tournament, by far, but England deserved their place as under/overachievers. *

England have been painful to watch throughout this whole tournament. At no point has it been comfortable viewing. Tonight was no exception. A quality Spanish side sure who deserved the win, but fucking hell England lost posession so often while Spain provided a masterclass in keeping possesion and capitalising on it.
 
Hard to begrudge 'em, been the best team all tournament, and we did better than I feared.

I just wish we played more consistently to our potential. We saw it, just not nearly enough.

Southgate's loyalty to old man Kane was a big factor I reckon. He didn't warrant a start tonight.
