They're also mostly the sort of thing that "free speech absolutist" Musk should be very much on board with - journalism and free speech projects in restrictive countries. Not that I think for a second he'd bother to read about them before demanding Wikipedia be cancelled.
Edit: Ah found it. Basically what you'd expect from a global-facing knowledge base, Wikipedia attempting to not just have all its content revolve around US and English-language stuff. Nothing whatsoever to do with DEI in the sense Musk would wet himself over.

Apparently he’s been joining live streams under a disguise with known neonazi internet scum to tell them they are all racist because they oppose his migrant tech worker programs and he’s removed a load of their blue ticks. The “constantly insulted” tweet is real btw.
What amazes me is I can think of few worse ways to spend time than to hang out in streams like a 14 year old edge lord with a load of other edge lords. Weird init. But it’s okay because he hasn’t got much power

It is being argued by the likes of Laura Loomer that the reason Musk is so exercised about this issue is that if these visas are withdrawn it will actually cut off a supply of skilled workers who he can pay less. More info here:

Weight is meaningless
A huge part of his personality is a desperate need to be king of the nerds, a lot of his more outlandish proclamations can be traced there. Hell even his turn to white supremacy is part-rooted in the edgelord/alt-right/far-right pipeline. It's led to frequent cognitive dissonance where he's simultaneously anti-migrant and pro-migrant, makes his wedge from electric cars while being "climate change skeptical" etc.
