Donald Trump the road that might not lead to the White House - Redux 2024 thread.

Hasn't got round to a proper Trump library yet though

to be fair you don't need that much space for to poorly filled in colouring books

hmm would we not have to kill trump before renaming the airport

is that normally the rule we this things, the person has to be brown bread before the rename and airport

This Xinhua report about Trump reciting his favorite books about China is about as believable as Kim Jong Il's 11 holes-in-one in his first game of golf

"I've read hundreds of books about China over the decades," Trump said in a recent interview with Xinhua, the official press agency of the People's Republic of China. "I know the Chinese. I've made a lot of money with the Chinese. I understand the Chinese mind."

When later asked if he would care to list some of his favorite books about China, the billionaire mogul, an author himself of numerous books, proceeded to recite by memory his top twenty.

Here they are in the order in which they were named:

1. The Party by Richard McGregor
2. On China by Henry Kissinger
3. Mao: The Untold Story by Jung Chang
4. Tide Players by Jianying Zha
5. One Billion Customers by James McGregor
6. The Coming China Wars by Peter W. Navarro
7. The Beijing Consensus by Stefan Halper
8. China CEO by Juan Antonio Fernandez and Laurie Underwood
9. Poorly Made in China by Paul Midler
10. CHINA: Portrait of a People by Tom Carter
11. The Man Who Loved China by Simon Winchester
12. China Shakes the World by James Kynge
13. Mr. China by Tim Clissold
14. Country Driving by Peter Hessler
15. The Dragon's Gift by Deborah Brautigam
16. Factory Girls by Leslie T. Chang
17. The Heavenly Man by Brother Yun
18. 1421 by Gavin Menzies
19. Seven Years in Tibet by Heinrich Harrer
20. Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother by Amy Chua

He's paid the $175m bond, apparently

Bond rejected

In addition to running for the presidency, Mr Trump is also battling four criminal cases in Washington DC, New York, Georgia and Florida, chewing up an estimated $230,000 per day in legal expenses and struggling to fund time to accommodate both court dates and campaign commitments, a problem that could become ever-more convoluted as the year progresses.

:D

Bond rejected

Fucking hell, spunking an estimated $230,000 per day in legal expenses, and they can't even correctly submit, what should be something simple for them. :D

The blunder was first spotted by New York attorney Jeffrey K Levine, who posted a screenshot of the court’s explanation for the rejection, which read: “The court has returned the documents listed below for the following reasons: Please include a current financial statement and Power of Attorney.

“Additionally, please list the name of the Attorney-in-Fact under the signature line on the Undertaking. Please use the ‘Refile Document’ link for Doc. No. 1707 to resubmit the corrected filing. Thank you and have a great day.”

I've given up hoping that trump will get convicted of anything or have to pay anything to anyone and am now just concentrating on the entertainment value

New York Attorney General Letitia James has some questions about Donald Trump’s $175 million bond insurer—mainly, if it can even guarantee the full amount if push comes to shove.

In a court filing on Thursday, Knight Speciality Insurance Company revealed that its liquid assets don’t meet the needs of Trump’s already minimized bond. According to a financial assessment, the company, owned by billionaire Don Hankey, has just $138 million in “surplus.” Knight would therefore need to spend 127 percent of its reserves in order to cover Trump’s bond—far more than the 10 percent of a state-regulated suretor’s surplus that’s allowed by New York law.

Lawyers for the attorney general’s office also noted that the insurance company was trying to operate “without a certificate of qualification” in the state.
James’s office has given Trump and his new financial bedfellows 10 days to “justify the surety.”
