Now I'm wondering if having had an assassination attempt made on an actual golf course, whether or not the secret service will be able to reduce tangoman's golfing trips ?
Apparently they are about the only fresh air exercise it gets, which coupled with the fast food diet cannot be healthy.

I heard on the radio someone asking if the would-be assassin might've had inside information about Trump's whereabouts to have been at the golf course when he was playing golf.

I should've thought inside information wasn't really necessary, Trump's known to slack off work and spend lots of time on the golf course, so he's bound to turn up at some point.

From what I read online/heard on the radio, Trump was playing golf, and when he plays golf some secret service staff usually go ahead on the course to the next hole before he does, keep ahead of him. As they did so, someone from this 'advance party' saw a gun barrel sticking out of a shrub. There were certainly shot(s) fired by secret service. Although at the time I was listening on the radio, they were saying that there was no confirmation any shot(s) were fired by the gunman.

So it sounds like the gunman had set up and was lying in wait for Trump, who wasn't yet playing that hole, Trump was further back on the course. So the gunman hadn't taken any pot-shots at Trump at the point that he was spotted and disturbed by the secret service.

That's my understanding.
